Ladies Who Lunch...

To say it has been cold would be a huge understatement.
one morning it was -12 and it hasn't been above freezing all week.

And the sun has been hiding from us a lot! By Friday I
had the winter doldrums and knew I needed something fun.
***
I called a couple of friends on Sunday and the three of us  went to lunch.
It was good for all of our spirits to visit and just enjoy being out.

If you are a football fan you know this has been a big weekend.
I love football and my patriots pulled a win out of it with a very exciting game.
***
With a tea in hand I have been packing away the last of the the
Christmas decorations.

And I always make a mess of it not sure how to get better organized.

I am leaving my snow people out for awhile
it is so hard to have the house stripped of all the decorations.

I  have also kept my lights in the window
it makes me feel like I am chasing away the darkness. And added the hearts husband made for me.

Downton Abbey was amazing last week. I am so looking forward to this week. What I think is so sweet is David loves it too. He is so happy to put his feet up and watch with me.
****
We are in for a bit of snow tonight and not warming up much in the near future. I think more tea and another log on the fire is in order for this week. Stay warm my sweet friends.

This cold is unrelenting, but at least we get some sunny days. We got out and hit some antique shops and prim places, something fun to do and walking around, inside is much warmer;)

That sounds like a good way to spend a cold winter day. The cold snap seems to have settled in for awhile

It's going to be a frigid week here in Ohio, too.
I need to get better organized, too, in just about everything. Maybe in my next life...sigh.
I leave my candles in the windows year round.
Stay warm the best you can.
Hugs :)

It's been cold here, but not as cold as your neck of the woods. Thinking I need to call my oldest friend Bonnie for lunch. Thanks for the suggestion.
Stay safe and warm,
Pat

I leave up my snowmen and red to add some cheer through the winter months. It has been bitter cold in Mid-Maine too! Stay warm. And enjoy DA tonight. Looking forward to this season.

A very nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends and catching up on what's going on.

Yea for your winning team. I don't watch sport but it's because we've always been too busy to watch and hubby isn't a sport fan at all.

I started watching Downton Abbey on line but I just can't sit there very long anymore. Maybe if I had started watching from the very beginning. It's nice that your hubby love watching it with you.
Stay warm and cosy.

JB

It's been nippy down here in the Sunshine state, too...at least nippy for us. Sounds like a perfect combination...staying in and sipping tea!

I missed the first one of this season but was able to stay awake yesterday. I love that show, but Jack hasn't jumped on board. It warmed up to 30 yesterday but a winter storm came through with ice and snow..figures! A cup of tea sounds good!

I feel just like you do! FREEZING!
I'm glad you took control of the winter blues and met some friends for lunch! I need to do that too!
