A Birthday...

I made another trip north, there was ice fishing and skating going on, not sure if I would have tried it, it really hasn't been that cold
but they all seemed very happy and no big hole where someone broke through.

It was Miss B's birthday party!!!!!

I just have to smooch her all the time!
She is so dang cute! Now she is 4 where did the time go!
She is all about crafts I hope that is a good sign for rug hooking in the future.

Last night we got about 3-4 inches of snow, all day it has
had very light rain building up an ice coating.

I made bread this morning with blackberry butter so good if I do say so
myself.

I have been trying to transfer a pattern today but as you can see
I am short on linen. I will call Dorr Mill in the morning.

I pulled some colors I wanted to look at for the rug, I can see I have
some weeding out to do.

I finished my last piece. Yep all steamed and bound. kind of cute and will look good on the coffee table.

Even though Sunday means I go back to work tomorrow, it also means the season premier of Downton Abbey!!!! So excited TV stinks! ok except for the big bang.
****
Have a wonderful week I will keep you up to date on my rug progress and since Lauren is doing the same rug I am a little nervous.

She is so cute and that is a fun age.
I haven't skated in years, cannot afford to fall on it;)

Love the mitten rug and Maggies pattern is another beautiful one, can't wait to see how you both hook it up.

I am experimenting and punching a small one that a friend gave me. It is a fun kitty so trying to make it artistic, but I think it will be more lumpy and bumpy at the rate I am going.

Miss B looks so darn cute in those glasses, I particularly like the picture of her in the previous post. She sure is growing up fast. Bread sounds delicious and I would like a piece for me just a tad warm please.

Oh what darling pictures of beautiful Miss B. Like you I can't believe she is growing up really fast. I don't blame you I would smother her in kisses too.
Your bread looks so good. It would be prefect on a cold day like today.
As always I love your latest gorgeous rug. I am in awe of how they all turn out so beautiful.
When I want to feel sorry for myself in the winter I think of you and I immediately realize it's really not that cold. haha
Funny you mentioned Downton Abby because now that it's the fifth season I finally have access to it so I am going to watch it tonight. Hopefully I won't be totally lost.
Sending you wishes for a very Happy New Year!
Love
Maggie

Your mitten rug is a real festive piece with all the sparkle wool. It beautiful. I had to enlarge the photos.

It will be fun watching you and Lauren work on this rug. i hope that you get your backing real soon.

Oh my gosh Miss B is beautiful! My nephew Kayden just turned 5 on Dec 3. I can't believe it either. Just yesterday he was a little baby in my lap. Now I can't hold him down, he has more energy than I've ever seen! My niece is 3 and she is all about crafts too. Can't wait to get a hook or needle in her hands!! Your rug is beautiful. I love the rug you are about to start. I have that pattern too. Just need more time to get to do all I want to do. Happy New Year Cathy!
