Being Crafty

I got a chance to to go to Micheal's today I went in for one thing and came out with 5 of these. Oh how I wish I would have bought more. I have been having fun all afternoon.
They started out looking like this, the tops were to shiny for me so I painted them brown so they looked all nice and rusty. I follow okiob designs she uses shredded sheet music a lot so I thought why not.

As I have said before I have a big secret. I have all the cards we have received our whole married life. The box is getting very big and very heavy. I am using them for lots of crafts and tags on presents.
when I can use the whole front I put my favorite holiday recipes on the back. This is a card cut down with the tag being another card. shredded sheet music and a bit of glitter. The longest part was painting the tops which was only minutes.

I have a box of vintage Christmas stickers. I thought they looked cute. The tag is a card cut down and I sewed a button on.

And since this is Miss Baby's first Christmas I made her one for her tree.

I am linking up to funky junk interiors handmade ornaments.

I usually don't get into brands I like or use but I found this last night when I picked up a few things and it is love. Thomas English muffins are our favorites but with cranberries they are amazing. I am not getting anything for this, I just ate one and loved it. I had a tuna sandwich on one this afternoon oh it was so good.

David hasn't been feeling well at all the past few days. We had a Dr appointment today and he said "You know you are not out of the woods yet but you are doing well. There is a lot going on in your body.I expect you will have times when you feel awful." He got some fluids and is feeling better.

My thoughts are with you and David. I can imagine that his body is doing major adjusting. Hard, though, to go through the hills and valleys of recovery. I'm sending prayers his way. I love your ornaments. Very clever. And I'll have to try those English Muffins. They must have been great with a tuna salad!
Take care you guys...
Hugs!

Oh, I love your pretty ornaments, especially the one with the baby. Just too cute.

Funny how taste differs, I'm like a crow and like the shiny silver while you love the rusty or rustic look. It's all beautiful.

I hope that David continues to do well till he's all better. Hugs, JB

What a great idea. The ornaments will make great gifts. We also love the cranberry muffins, but they will stop selling them shortly. Make sure you have plenty to freeze. Just a seasonal product. I hope David feels better soon.

You both have been going through so much this year that I wish I could be more help to you. I am glad the fluids helped David and that he continues to feel better.
Your so creative and these ornaments are really pretty. So you put shredded music sheets in them and then do you put the cut out cards inside too. I am sorry I am not that good with making things. I was trying to figure out if I could do some. lol
Hope you entered my giveaway.

Your ornaments are really cute and special! What a great idea. I need to find those English muffins! They sound like something I would love. I hope David gets to feeling better and you can have a nice weekend together. The body is an amazing machine and it will not give up fighting to keep us well..even if we feel sick while it's doing it's job. Hang in there..you are in my prayers.

The ornaments will become special treasures that you get out each year and enjoy telling Miss Baby that you made when she was but a "Wee one".
The cranberry muffins looks so good...I love Thomas's and this would be a great breakfast treat.
Hoping each day David gains strength and you can enjoy the holidays!!!

Oh how precious are those ornaments!!! You are so talented!! Sorry about David, but he will get better--it just seems to take a long time when we are older. With my Fred, there are days he feels great and even goes to the gym for an hour and then, there are days when he can hardly get out of his chair. It all depends on his fluid build-up, and his breathing, and the weather, and the barometric pressure--all kinds of stuff. David will get better----we just get so tired of being sick and tired and just want to feel good!

The English muffins look great - my daughter would love these -
I sure hope David feels better soon - it is hard to see someone you love not be well.
Praying for you all!
Hugs,
Kathy

The ornaments turned out great. I especially like the baby one. (As a mom of older children, I would encourage you to continue to incorporate a photo on the tree each year for your child. You will absolutely LOVE them years from now when they're all grown up.) Merry Christmas.
