It has been a busy weekend already at acorn hollow. We had our first visitors, David's brother aka the doner. They brought along this gift. I think the saying is very true don't you?
Last night we went to a local fund raiser to see the holiday lights. We could drive around to see the lights. This is my favorite kind of holiday cheer:0)
two life size moose or mooses?
and a holiday serpent
is this santa's castle?
So tonight we are in watching more movies and enjoying being home.
with the wood stove going, oh baby it's cold outside.

I love driving around and looking at lights. I always say if I ever win the lottery (I guess I would actually have to buy a ticket!)I will hire someone to come and cover every pine tree on our 6acr. with white lights....Of course the neighbors would have no electricity! Have a wonderful, restful Sunday and I love the plate with that perfect saying.
Those lights are so pretty. I love that saying on the plate. So true!
Hugs to all at Acorn Hollow
Happy to hear you are able to start having visitors! Sounds like David's brother is doing well too!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! The pictures are fabulous!
What a great light display. I love riding around and admiring the Christmas lights. Your right, it is really cold out tonight.
What a fabulous quote that your brother-in-law broght on the gift!! I need to remember it in "times" when....
Lately there have been too many of those. Thanks for the reminder!

It's cold in Ohio, too ~ the coldest weather we've had so far this winter. I HATE IT!!! WAH!
How nice David's brother came to visit and the saying is so apropos.
Hugs :)

I love the lights at Christmas time. I am so happy David is able to see his brother and what a gift!
Continued healing of your hubby and you take care of yourself too. Cheri
I love the saying on the plate...so true. We haven't gone for a Christmas light drive yet. I think we will need to do that this week.
What a thoughtful gift that you brother in law got for David. I love the quote on the plate. It is so true.
I hope that you and David have grown even closer to each other with all you both have been through lately. Sitting by the fire watching movies sounds so nice and peaceful to me.
Have a blessed week, stay warm and cosy. Hugs. JB
Sounds like fun to me and I love the plate! Driving about to see Christmas lights brings back childhood memories to me...
Yeah a visitor! This is so good to "hear"! My favorite thing to do at Christmas is to drive around and look at lights with a thermos of cocoa and some sugar cookies. My DH and I make a night of it every year. :)
We drove around to look at some of the lights in our area too. Enjoy your evening and I agree with that quote from Cheryl!
Hugs,
Susan and Bentley
We used to take the children to see such lights - so much fun! I hope you stop by to enter my giveaway this week,
Kathy
I just adore that sayin' on the plate! So true...life is truly about 'attitude' baby!!!
I too enjoy all the Christmas lights but I have a confession to make...(they say it's good for the soul) I'm addicted to Christmas movies. Whew, it's great to get that off my chest!
God bless and have yourself a magnificent day sweetie!
Drop on over for my giveaway...take your shoes off and sit a spell. I'll put the fudge out! Heehehehe!!! :o)
