Time for Myself

A pretty low key week so far. I think it is the melt down after being so busy. I don't know about you but I need down time in my day. I have to have time to just decompress. I have had an hour to rug hook this week which is major time of late. And I did get out in my yard to look at my gardens. My hydrangea bush is now all pink and beautiful. I could fill a thousand vases that bush is so large. And my fairy roses are still going.

I got to the thrift store today and this had just come in. I love it so much but know I would never use it. I think the strap and top are plastic not Bakelite but it is old.

I love the how it latches. Bad picture but this piece just lifts up and the purse opens. it even has little feet on the bottom so not to rub the needlepoint. I think it's headed for my booth.

I am working on such a cool project for my daughter's birthday. She gets it on Sunday so I will post the pictures then. It's pretty cool don't miss it.
Have a great week!

Your hydrangea are beautiful. I think I need to plant one in my yard next year. I also need a little alone time to settle down after a busy day. I usually blame it on being an only child. :)

I wish hydrangeas grew better here but our air is too dry. For my little door hanger I stuffed it like a flat pillow so it has a little poof. Thanks for coming by today. Mimi

Thanks for visiting my blog! This is the link for the pumpkin spiced lattes: http://farmingonfaith.blogspot.com/2010/09/pumpkin-spiced-latte.html
I don't have any canned pumpkin in the house right now, so I've been adding pumpkin pie spice to mine and it still comes out good. I'm sure it would be better with the real thing though!

Hi Cathy, I found your blog through Donna and I was instantly hooked! Our favorite vacation spot in the world is northern (as for as you can go NH and we spend lots of time each year in the Great North Woods, hiking around the Connecticut Lakes! I'm planning a post on them soon, although it is one of those places I would like to keep secret so they stay unspoiled. I will be your newest follower. I know what you mean when you say "thrifting has made us cheap"! I had a really good laugh! Come see me when you have a chance! Linda
