Brunch Anyone?

,
We had brunch this morning with my daughter, son in law, and Sweet B. What a nice way to spend a Sunday morning. For years we have trick or treated with Sweet B, costumes and all! This year she wants to go with friends' sniff sniff she is growing up!

I got up very early this morning, made coffee and headed for my rug hooking room. It was a nice way to start the day I should do that more often.

When day finally broke a picture outside my window. Fall is fading away and winter is near although today was a very nice day and we spent some time this afternoon picking up the garden decorations from the summer to store away.

Did anyone try the soup recipe I shared? I think it is another week that deserves a pot of soup. Not to mention I am going to be busy for the next 3 days at rug school. I will let you know what kind I decide to make, beef stew is sounding pretty good right now.

We had a date night last night and went to the movies. A very rare event. We saw "A Ticket To Paradise" with Julia Roberts and George Cloony. It was light and fun, it made us laugh out loud. Just what the spirit needed in this very bad news world.
Have a wonderful week!!

I can't believe how grown up, she looks in that photo. We never had a date night, lol, but we do go places to hike and bike. I want to see that movie, but I wait till it is picked up on tv.

I see a pumpkin and dress bottom of a witch on your frame and can't wait to see it when completed. Julia and George always make a great team and bet there were lots of bloopers while filming and some probably made the final cut. I want to see the movie too. Soon as the temps drop again I'll be making more witches brew.

I'm glad that's a good movie -- I like them both and glad they're still doing good stuff. It sounds like a delightful brunch together.

The brunch date with faily and the date night for yourselves sounded like a wonderful way to spend the weekend. We watched the previews for that movie and as much as we like Roberts and Clooney, we may wait until it's available online. No, I did not try the soup recipe (yet) but today my husband made his fish chowder on a very rainy Monday.

Oh wow. Miss B. is getting tall and grown up. It's that time when they want to be with friends their own age. I know the feeling. Poor grandma Acorn...
The movie sounds like a good one.

Raining here today so I've been doing laundry, washing the floors and baking.

Hugs,
Julia

Guess I am a witch at heart because I LOVE Soup! Soon I will try a new cream of onion one. Sweet B sure is growing up. I sniff sniffed when my kids and grandkids no longer went Trick or Treating. Now we pass out candy at our store. We dont have kids in our neighborhood either, so its a win for us to see the kiddos dressed up! Do I spot a witch on that rug frame? Janice

Miss B is such a cutie and like you, my Grands all are on their own for trick or treat or too old to even go! I made a new soup last week...cauliflower cheese..it was good! I love soup on a winters day. I think your daughter is lovely and looks like you! Have a good week!
