Unusually warm weather and the gardens are waking up.
Ice out was declared on Squam Lake this week, a few weeks early.
Since we had a mild winter and not much rain this spring we are in a drought all ready this year.
My father-in-law's chives. He has been gone many years now but we continue to grown his chives.
I know this is a bad picture but this is why I do not clean up gardens before winter. The little birds snacked on the cone flower seeds all winter.
I had some nervous energy so I washed windows and curtains today.
The house just seems fresher somehow.
I did finish the rug I was working on,just ok. the selvage is so large I will not bind it until I hook a stair riser on it.
I started another rug on monks cloth. I use to use monks cloth all the time and liked it, not sure why I changed as I am enjoying working on it again.
I want to thank you for the prayers, thoughts, and emails.
Husband is home, his poor battered body, he has had much sickness in his life and this was scary, but he came out of it pretty good.
We are both trying to take it one day at a time.
I have started back walking, the stress was doing me in.
Today was the first day my phone beeped to tell me I reached 10,000
steps. So the journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step. I pray this is the first step to may more miles with him. We have been together since we were teens.
****
Wishing you great health and peace.

So glad he is back home to his teen age love. When I had my boy Ben I'd often reach 10,000 steps in a day, not so much now but did yesterday as it was picking up pinecones, tree limbs and grass cutting.
The donkey and flag design on the monk's cloth looks so fun! It's always time for flags but for summertime especially it makes it fun to stitch or hook them. I am working on a cross stitch with three little primitive flags in the design. It is good, good news to hear your husband is healing.
So glad to hear that hubby is home. I'll keep praying for him. It's so nice seeing plants poking out so early. My spring bulbs are coming up too. I hope that you get enough rain. I saw my first robin today. You got lots of hooking done despite the hospital drama.
Stay well,
Hugs, Julia
I'm glad your hubby is home and hope he feels 100% soon. Good for you for hitting that 10,000 step goal! I used to hit that easily when I worked but a little harder now that I'm home more. I just need to get back to walking regularly! Our weather has been beautiful but will be more chilly and rainy this week. Take care and enjoy your beautiful hooking projects!
How did I miss your hubby being in the hospital. Hope all is well. I never rake my leaves until Spring. It is good for the plants and animals here. Janice
That is a lot of extra backing, I still have yardage that I bought years ago. And I love your new rug, that is such a fun design.
So glad that your. husband is home and I truly understand how it is when they are either getting sick or hurt, it does take a toll on our stress level. Prayers that things only improve and you can both get out together.

so glad your sweet hubby is home. You take care of yourself too. Washing the afghans and curtains on my agenda as well, I want to hang them outside and let them flap in the spring breeze.
Sometimes on busy weeks, I don't get around to read all the blogs I follow and I think I missed something in your blog. I didn't realize your husband was not well. So sorry to hear this. I hope that he is on the mend now and that things continue to look up for your both. I love the rugs you have pictured in this post. Good for you for walking - it really does help with stress. Have a good week.
So happy hubby is home and on the mend. Continued prayers that he continues to get better each and every day.
I hooked Daisy. That is a fun pattern. I only hooked a small project on monk's cloth ~ once ~ and I hated it. I will stick with my linen.
Congrats on getting back to walking. I finally am back to walking my 10,000+ steps a day. Foot doctor said I had to wait that long. UGH!
Thanks for the update on your husband in so much that he is back home and hopefully will be recovering better there. Getting outside and walking is a good way to release stress and better than sitting around for sure. Hope things continue to get better.
