Another Day Of Snow

That red dot is a cardinal waiting to come into the feeder. We got about 3 inches with sleet and now it is freezing rain.

I have a few bread ends so I made bread pudding I love it for breakfast and this is just a little one.

I took on a commission it is a local woman who thought she wanted to hook a rug for her daughter's wedding 5 years ago. She drew it, color planned it, and cut all the wool but only pulled a few strips. She has asked me to hook it for her by June. It is a 2x3 rug with an 8 cut. I have gone right to work on it and set my things aside. Not my colors but she will be happy, I hope. The $$$$ will be good to support my habit.

We are headed out on vacation soon so we had lunch with the family before we leave. It was at Castle in the clouds I know you have seen several posts of me being there but it never gets old.

My sweet loves! It was a splurge but so lovely.

Their restaurant is in the old carriage house and you eat in the stalls
fun idea.

It is a mecca of snowmobiles and other fun winter sports.

Speaking of winter fun Sweet B is going top to bottom this year skiing. She went with her mom this past week. (Love those faces) My daughter said she is very fast and confident and she had a hard time keeping up with her.

Well I have a few more days of work left then fun in the sun.
have a great week!

Fun family times and how cool that Miss B loves to ski! I guess that's good considering where you all live....have a fabulous vacation and enjoy that sunshine and warm air! Maybe you'll bring it home with you and usher in Spring!

Good luck with your commission piece. Extra $$ is always good.
Sweet B. My boys started skiing young, but of course skiing in Ohio, PA and western New York is nothing like skiing out east. I quit skiing when I could not longer keep up with the boys and they got tired of waiting for me...lol.
Lucky you to be heading south for a bit leaving your god awful winter behind.

That is a nice family photo. Enjoy your vacation in the sun.
I only tried skiing once and I was going so fast, it scared me and I never tried it again. Of course, I didn't have an instructor. Miss B. is doing really well.
We are having a snow storm with freezing rain right now. We are supposed to get close to a foot of snow.
Hugs, Julia

Warm Sun? I could use some of that, lol.
Looks like you had a great week and a fun one ahead.
I do love bread pudding, I usually make mine with leftover apple bread.

I just realized how long it’s been since my last visit as I misplaced your blog link, but glad to have found it now. We have also had the same snowy days here in Nashua and also this weekend which was spent in VT. Your visit to Castle in the Clouds reminded me that we still haven’t been there but it is still on our “to see” list so thanks for the reminder. Miss B is more fearless than myself who only manages snowshoes and not all that well! Enjoy your getaway to warmer temos.

Always nice to have a way of supporting our habit. Bread pudding looks yummy. How quaint for a restaurant in an old carriage house. Bet the food is great and I'd have also loved that old carriage house when it was filled with horses.

I hope you have lots and lots of warm sun! I love that picture of your two skiers. I think that place you ate at sound great. Have fun with that rug.

Lucky you to make some $$$ hooking! :-) Fun restaurant with the booths in the stalls! I bet the wood and architecture in the place is amazing! Congrats to Miss B on mastering skis!
