What A Difference A Week Makes

My daughter and Son in law gave us a  weekend in Kennebunkport
Maine for our Christmas gift. This was the weekend and it was beautiful!

But sadly Barbara Bush had died earlier in the week. So there was a sad mood in the Port. This is where the Bushes have their summer home on Walker Point.

And no matter what your politics they were a big part of this area. They ate in the restaurants and shopped in the stores. Mrs Bush did a lot of work for local children and the children's hospital.

We got together with family for a night out at a local restaurant.
Ate french pastries in the sun shine before we made our way home the next morning, it was good for the soul.
We have a couple of warm days ahead but then it rains a lot.
I am thankful for the warm up and hope we are headed into spring and summer.
Have a great week.

What a nice gift and I'm glad the weather has warmed up there like it has here. I think we're on the same weather path at times! Mrs. Bush was a wonderful woman..full of grace and class! She's remembered here in Ashland too. She visited with her husband at the University and was very gracious in letting folks take a photo with her. She impressed many! Hope your week is a good one and I'm hoping this warm up is here to stay and means Spring has sprung..even with the rain!

I love that town.
When I was last there, we could see Mrs. Bush out on the side lawn, walking the dogs.
In my opinion, she was a lovely lady.

What a wonderful gift and a perfect time to go. We have one day of rain and then some warm weather coming in, I think spring has finally arrived.

So sad about Barbara Bush but she had a full life. I bet George won't be too far behind.
It looks like your get away was heaven. What a great gift from your daughter.
Hugs :)

She lived and loved. That's a good life.
