Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
iI am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
My sweet friend passed this weekend
It was expected, she has battled an illness for years.
We have been friends for over 25 years. We learned to hook rugs
together. We shared the life's sorrows and the laugher. I will miss her so much. My prayers go to her two children who now have to carry on.

Am sorry for your loss. Hopefully the fond memories shared over the years will give you comfort. Perhaps even a rug commemorating the united love of rug hooking will emerge.
I am so sorry. I am sending prayers and hugs your way.
My best friend passed 5 years ago and I still grieve for that loss. We were as close as sisters. It is indeed a hard thing.
I am sorry to hear about your friend. I do love that poem, it is so meaningful.
