A Walk In The Woods And A Birthday!

My favorite in laws came for a visit so that meant I cleaned the house better than it has been cleaned in months.

After they left on Sunday it was a beautiful day for a hike!

I thought this mushroom color was just beautiful.

And this frog was I think, thinking about digging into the mud
for the winter. He just didn't move he did blink so I know he was alive.

Our colors haven't started yet but when it does this road will be the prettiest one in N.H.

After we got back I made beef stew

I had made an apple pie for company which came out wonderfully,

And of course the eclipse. This picture in the dark you can see the stars. The night was crisp and clear just perfect for viewing.

I am still working on my pumpkin rug that was in Rug hooking magazine. I am not sure about this green I am going to put some more in before I make a decision.

And Now for the Birthday! My sweet son in law has a birthday today! He is sitting on the amazing play house with husband.
He worked very hard helping to put that house together for his baby. Happy Birthday Ron we love you!

Have a great evening.

Happy Birthday to son-in-law! I'm about willing to drive the distance for a taste of that apple pie!:-) Incidentally, we happened to buy some apples at Peck's Orchard in NH about 5 years ago when we made our last NE trip. Husband and daugher actually picked some from the trees! Would love to return! Nothing like company coming to motivate one to clean house!:-) Same thing is true here. xoNellie

I was wondering if the colors were changing up there.
This is perfect weather for walking, but now it will be raining all week, but we need it.
The good thing is, all this rain will get the waterfalls flowing nicely again.

Love that pattern on the mushroom.

The trees are quite late starting to turn this year. I might attempt an apple pie this weekend. But I am sure it won't turn out as pretty as yours :)

I like all of those pictures! That last one on the top of the house is just priceless. I hope you take some more pictures of that road when it is all fall colors. I like looking down that road. What a beautiful place to live.

What wonderful sites you see on your walks! My father built me a playhouse when I was five and the whole neighborhood played in it for years! What wonderful memories will be made in that wonderful little house! I love the colors in you rug!

I'm surprised you don't have leaf color yet. Ours is starting and we're in Northern Wisconsin for a wedding and they are just getting they're trees turning. Temps this morning were 35 de! Brrr! Enjoy your clean house and beautiful walks this weekend!
