This is my motto so I am not sure what in the heck happened this week???
First I tried to make brownies I know I know laugh if you must..
Then I tried to make ginger cookies I had whole wheat flour what could be
the difference??? yeck!!!!
So I made a chocolate cream pie ahhhh success!
Well it snowed today about 6 inches. I made it into work
but no one else decided to shop so I did paper work and watched the birds.
this was a tree full of robins I think about 50-60 were in the trees eating berries.
poor little things looking for spring.
So if you would like to try my brownies or have a piece of pie, we'll leave the
light on for ya.

North wind doth blow, and we shall have snow, and what will the Robin do then, poor thing.
He'll stay in the barn, to keep himself warm, and hide his head under his wing, poor thing.
Ok, I confess...i laughed a little. But only because I have the worst luck baking. Like 90% of the time it's a disaster. The pie looks great
Thank you for the offer! I think all the snow between here and there would hinder my travels, though.:)
Stay safe and warm!
Poor robins. They must be so confused.
I bet we got 10" of the white crap, er, I mean snow. Enough already!
Hugs :)

I'll bring the coffee :))
We got about the same amount of snow but also had freezing rain in the middle. Not sure how that happens since our temps were below 30...anyway, I've had many food mishaps and a few "better luck next timers"..I'll stop by anyway so leave your blog light on!
I use whole wheat in some things, and for my oatmeal cookies, but I make mine on the dry side so they stay crispy and make a nice snack. Pie sounds good, I usually make banana cream for easter, no sugar added.

I'll pass on the brownies, the pie looks wonderful! What kind of saucer is the pie on, some kind of transfer ware in brown? It looks similar to a blue one I have around here somewhere. I can't remember the maker. The robins are everywhere everyday now, spring is coming soon.
No end to this crazy winter weather.......I would love a piece of pie please, beautiful lantern, Blessings Francine.
Pie looks yummy! I don't know about that whole wheat stuff sometimes!
I've not had success with whole wheat flour alone. It makes for a very heavy outcome. I do mix some in with my reg. flour once in a while.
Wish I could see robins.

...it just wasn't the week for BROWNIES! I was doing an entire dessert buffet for some gal pals ~ and of all things, what should FLOP?! The pan of Plain-old-stand-by-BROWNIES!!! Oh well, if that's the worst thing that happens, we are in pretty good shape 8-)!!
You are so thoughtful to leave the porch light on for us. I'll even try that brownie piece. It doesn't look that bad. A little dab of whipped cream and you couldn't see the difference.
Hugs,
JB
Haha! I've had a few days like that where nothing seemed to go right. Your pie looks luscious though!
Those poor Robins ...just like everyone else anxious for Spring to no avail...mmmm chocolate pie looks yummy...Hugs lil raggedy Angie
Now that is one good looking slice of pie, yummy...How wonderful to see robins, ah the first promise of spring...Stay warm, Julie
The robins are popping up around here too.. Always feel bad for them! They are probably more anxious for spring than me!! Maybe this weeks cooking will go better!
