Hello I Am Still Here!

We have been fighting the crud. David had to go to the Dr twice last week
and lo and behold I now have it. But as you can see I have been hooking.

Between going to a marketing class, getting together with my girls group
for our annual thanksgiving, and going to Boston,I have been a bit busy. The best thing is David is feeling more like his old self and is over flowing with Christmas spirit. (This is the start of
the rug that was in rug hooking magazine this month. I made some changes
to be seen later:)

Saturday morning I had plans to meet with up with a great friend
to go to a couple of Christmas craft fairs and out to breakfast. I am sad
to say I got called into work :( for the whole day.

Today I went to a needle felting class, I was a bit disappointed I
was looking for more than beginner. But the people were so nice
and it was a great contact to get roving. I did enjoy felting a bar of soap.
So to all my friends reading this yes this is what you are getting for Christmas!

I made a pantry cake. It is not for eating just for smelling and it
smells soooo good. I think I am feeling the christmas spirit a little.....

Do you? because He is watching:)
I know I know Gobble Gobble.

That crud stuff is going around here too, my husband says at work there are a few guys who just cough and cough. He wishes they would stay home!

Am glad your husband is feeling better and your rug is starting to take shape. Take care of yourself so you get over being sick, too, from what I hear it tends to hang on.

I'm so glad that David is feeling better and is in Christmas spirit.
He is still in my prayers daily.

Sorry about you feeling sick though. I hope that you will feel better real fast.

I've heard of pantry cakes but never made one. I'm curious to know how to make one. How long do they smell good?

My daughter and grand daughter do felting quite a bit. I've never tried it.

Have a great week.
Hugs, JB

I am so sorry you and David have been ill! It sounds like you are improving just in time for the holidays, though.

I forgot to add that your little snowman looks adorable with his knitted scarf.

Cathy ~
Sorry to hear you and hubby have had the crud but hopefully you both will be well soon and not get it again!
Great to hear hubby is doing well. I keep you both in my prayers.
Sounds like you've been busy and it will probably just get more hectic before things calm down. I know that's how I feel.
Happy Thanksgiving, my friend!
Hugs :)

I'm thinking about Christmas and what to get the Grandkiddos but the decorating will wait until after Thanksgiving. I usually get it done the weekend after. I'm on call that weekend but I'm hoping to get it done anyway. What am I getting? Bills I imagine! I've never heard of a "pantry cake" or felting. I need some education I think!

So happy to hear that David is feeling better. That's great news. I also like to do some needle felting. I've done a few "soap balls as well...and my little granddaughters get the biggest kick out of using them for their bath. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. My best to you Dave and the whole crew.

Glad David is better and hope you are soon. I am restraining myself until this weekend to put up the new tree. It will brighten up this house on the long dark evenings and I certainly need that!!
