An Amazing Anniversary

It will be one year on Saturday since David's bone marrow transplant.
what a long way he has come. Our grand baby will never remember
all the time away from her.She will only remember the Pepe who reads to her,
who watches Micky Mouse play house and laughs.

He was in the hospital for a month, this was his first minute home.
He had to breath the healing air of HOME.

The 100 days of confinement with only each other and our sweet little kitty.
He is still healing but is well on his way.
There are still trips to Boston and tests to take but there is much to be happy about.
Thank you to my blogging friends for all of the amazing  emails and comments.
Some of you sent cards and well wishes. I wish I could hug you all
You made a big difference. Our local community cleaned our yard and plowed our
driveway and put in our wood. Our daughter was amazed at the support
we received. Friends and family kept the cards coming and the daily email
jokes to keep his spirits high. There were so many things done for us it would take pages and pages. We have many blessings in our life and we will pay if forward.
David is growing a beard to be Santa's elf this year for a charity believe in books.
I am taking this month to be thankful for we have much to be thankful for.
***
I will keep those so impacted by this storm in my prayers
I hope you are all save and warm and with those that you love.

Dave looks wonderful! I'm so happy that he's healing and heading into another year..a year of good health and added strength. Your little cutie sitting there with her Grandfather is a lovely shot. Glad you weren't hurt by "Sandy" too! Have a great weekend!

Oh my, David looks great, what a lovely picture. I can't believe that it's already a year since David's marrow transplant. I've been praying every night for David's healing and for many other people too but it doesn't seem that long for some reason.
I know that the time must have felt longer for you folks.

Congratulations David on your anniversary and I hope that you will continue to heal. I do believe in prayers. I'll sure keep you in my healing prayers for as long as it take to get better.

What a year! David looks amazing and so healthy. I am so happy that he is doing so well and Yes prayers do work.
Aren't we both blessed with so many truly lovely blogging friends. I love how they support us through good and bad times.
David is very handsome as you are beautiful.
You both have been on my mind like crazy this whole week. I tried calling but all I would get is all circuits are busy.
That was a horrific storm and I have been so sad about all the damage it has caused and lives taken.
I laid awake all night last night trying to figure out how to help these people so affected by it.
Take care dear friend

Maggie

Cathy I am so touched by your post.As tears run down my cheeks I am reminded of David's smile. Always such a sweet man. I know I don't see my cousins much but there's not a day that goes by that he's not on my mind.I pray for his continued progress and for now I hope he continues to relish his time with the little one and his family. Much love to you both...and I will surprise you with a visit some one of these days. Continued good health.
