Husband Update

David was admitted on Wed for transplant. So far so good, he does get into the hard stuff this week.
So I am in Boston for the week. His spirit is good and we are all very proud of him.
Of course we are expecting snow! tonight and tomorrow. Boston area 2-4" but at home a foot or more.
Everyone is freaked out about the snow. But major melting should take place this week. I am not driving in the city I can walk to the hospital so I am fine. Speaking of City while Boston can be beautiful I am a country girl I do not like the fast pace of the city I like the quiet of the country. I am looking forward to getting him back home.
Keep him in your prayers and thank you so much for your uplifting comments they are read over and over.

I'm so glad to hear from you!! I've been thinking so strongly about you and David all this week. Yes, big snow coming. But, you're right...fast melting right behind it! I used to like the city, (I lived in Boston right after college) but I like it better up here, where it's quiet. My prayers continue for you both. Hope treatments go well and the hard parts pass quickly.
Hugs!!

Prayers and hugs today for David and for you. I can't believe the snow that is coming your way. I hope you are careful even if you are only walking! I understand the feeling of the city vs country....I grew up in the Chicago area but now that I'm living in a small rural town I can only take so much of the hustle and bustle when I go home to visit. One good thing about snow in the city, it makes it look a bit prettier! Hang in there this week and keep us informed because we truly care about you both!

Good Morning, Cathy! Such a pensive picture of your husband ~ lots of deep thought going on there. Every day, I pray for you and Dave ~ for your strength, for God's highest and best for you both. These are the times that show us what we're really made of ~ and I only have to read your posts to know that you both are made of strong stuff! Know that your blog friends are right there with you in spirit, supporting you and lifting you up!

I'm a country girl, too ~ and always thought I would live in a city ~ I love the city and all that it has to offer!! If I were close by, I'd come keep you company, for sure!

Thank you for the update :o)
I'm glad that David has settled and is in good spirits Cathy. You have my continued support and positivity winging it's way over the pond. I feel sure that ALL will be well.
I can understand your feelings about being in the city though - much like my own would be! Hope the snow is beautiful if pesky, what a good job you're not having to drive in it though.
Sending you both hugs.
Very best wishes

Hi Cathy, it's Julia from the lost paradise of Petals and Wool here. I can no longer post on my blog Of Petals and Wool although I still can receive comments and my Gmail got deleted by Google because they said that I had illegal activity or that I have broken the terms of service agreement??? I have no idea what has happened but now I have to access blogs through Firefox server and use an Anonymous identity to leave comments.

The weather is cold here and snow is not far away. I hope that all will go well for your husband and that his hopes are high. My friend went through this and had some rough spots but is doing fantastic and is back to her candy business. He's still in my prayers.

It's good that you can walk to the hospital. I'm a country girl too. Take care , hugs. Julia

My prayers are with you and your husband and that God will be holding the hands of his surgeons. I had to stay in boston when my son was sick, it is nice to have hotels attached to the hospitals, I do not like cities at all.

Praying, praying and praying.

I just love Boston. Maybe you can go back one day with David and enjoy the town.

Been praying for you both. I do not like Boston (or any big city) either. You can't see the horizon--can't see the sun set!!! Too noisy--people walking with heads down, no one smiles, traffic is terrible, riding the T can be scary, but...other then that...

Sending prayers and hugs. Keep the faith, as each day passes may you become closer to the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon this journey will be behind you and Miss baby will be in your arms once again. Blessings, Julie.

My heart is with you. I know how it is to be stuck at a hospital. My first husband had 5 bypasses at the age of 34, December of 1983. My daughter was only 13. We spent Christmas at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta. It was such a lonely cold place.

I'll be thinking of you and sending prayers for your husband and for you.

May God keep you and heal your hubby.

Best wishes,
Kathy

I'll say a prayer for David and you before I go to bed tonight. Also for the surgery team that will care for him. Enjoy your time walking in the snow. I love the clean refreshing sense about snow falling. I like to think about it as a gift from God for a time to be calm and reflective that He is in control and present in my life.

I am so glad to know things are good so far. You and your husband have been on my mind and I just had to come see if there is any news. Please know that both of you are in my prayers and I hope this time passes quickly (but then I think we need to try to enjoy the moment too).

And, oh yes, Angry Birds is terribly addictive. Have you tried Pinterest yet? It's nearly as addictive! Let me know if you would like an invite. I'll send you one. It will keep dreaming.
