Bitter Sweet

This is the tree in my header. It has lots of little berries the birds eat most of the winter.
This is a close up of the berries such a pretty fall color.
On Friday night we had a fire, we had weeded out a lot of personal paperwork that we didn't want to just throw away. So we made it a celebration of pizza and wine.
Today we had a visit from Miss Baby we will not be able to hold her for a few months but will skype her daily. She is so fun she makes us laugh all the time. We also saw our sweet daughter and her wonderful husband. Tears at good bye as David goes in for his 4 week hospital stay on Wed.
We also got a wonderful visit from very close friends. This has been a little like a wonderful life. He is being told how much he matters in people's lives and how much he is loved.
Since David can not leave his room for 4 weeks we have been trying to think of things to keep him busy.
I down loaded the trial version of angry birds thinking that David would just love it. And then I would buy the rest of the game. Welllll I love it and I will not down load it into my computer because that is all I would do for sure.
Wrinkles should merely indicate where the smiles have been......Mark Twain
I hope your week is filled with smiles!

So sweet! Miss Baby (sooo cute!!) and your hubby...mmm! Just sweet.
How great that people are taking the time to tell David what he has meant to them. That is food for the long time he will be away from friends. Being recognised as loved takes you a long way.
Love your Mark Twain quote.

Miss baby sure is growing. Is she cutting teethes.

I hope that David will not find the time too long while in hospital. I'm sure that he will need some rest as he recuperate from the treatments.

My prayers are still with David and you. Hugs, JB

Cathy,
Such sweet photos! Miss baby is growing like a weed I see!
I think you'll be amazed at how fast the four weeks will go. Know that my prayers and thoughts are always with you. Please keep us posted on the progress. Can David have a laptop in his room? That should keep him connected. I will have to check out that game sometime this winter..... I'm not much of a game player but just curious!
Hugs, positive thoughts and prayers!

What a great picture of Miss Baby and David! I hope he can keep interested in something for 4 weeks in one room... wow... maybe us bloggers can some up with some ideas? That is a lovely tree, by the way... in both spring and now.

I was thinking of you yesterday as I passed the store you work at up at school. I have a horrible cold so I didn't pop in for a visit. I was afraid you might be there and I didn't want to get you sick. I just knew that we would give each other a hug!! Thinking you you and your wonderful family.

Dear Cathy, As you know from coming to my blog and your kind posts,I'm probably one of the people who really understands. John was in the hospital so often and sometimes for 5 weeks at a time. My heart is with you both. I'm praying that Angels surround you both keeping you strong with good thoughts and high spirits!!!

I will be praying for you both through his stay. Teach him to hand piece! lol I love the bittersweet, have not had any since we lived in the country and I really miss gathering it. I was always afraid the cat would eat a berry and get sick but I just think there is nothing that says fall like bittersweet.

Oh my gosh I had no idea you both wouldn't be able to hold her. Are you able to go out in public as well or do you have to stay home too? What a trial for you both. Stay strong my friend. You both are so lucky to have one another.
