Giveaway Additions

Today I was going to get to see my grand daughter but it snowed a lot! At this speed I should make it for her high school graduation....sigh     This is miss Sadie just wanting to get a bird one more time
We had small kitchen appliance day at acorn hollow. I got the coffee pot I ordered from CSN. I won a 45.00 gift certificate and was in dire need of a new coffee pot. We love perked coffee so for additional 14.00 it is a deal. I will say they were very quick and the prices did not seem that bad.
Then yesterday was dump day. In the little section that has things set aside I saw this. Now I am at the dump so the box means nothing there could be someone's head in there. Well you never know.
No head! I found a brand new rice cooker! never out of the box. So home it went,I washed it up and made some rice yum and you can use it as a steamer. So good score.
I am adding to my give away. MaryJanesFarm is a wonderful magazine and I am including Feb/March Issue. a pair of hand knitted slippers(by me) they are 100% wool and stretchy so they should fit anyone. And a little glass bird in honor of my birds at the feeder.
A better picture. a bird in the hand ha.
Since I am stuck home I am cleaning, and cooking. I made chili, we put the rice on the bottom of the bowl. Mr Acorn Hollow said "Hey nice touch with the rice on the bottom."  Of course, I am brilliant and cheap
Don't forget to leave me a comment to enter in my give away. Look back to see what I started with.
My quote for the day...There are two kinds of people, those who finish what they start and so on....
Robert Byrne
I think that sums me up I have to finish that rug.

Your giveaway sounds amazing, but not nearly as amazing as what you can find at your dump! I was laughing thinking of you opening the box, hoping it wasn't a head! Brave girl!!
I hope the weather clears so you can get to visit that precious angel.
We are awaiting the blizzard. It is a couple of hours away.

I want to go to your dump!!! Nice rice cooker! Mr. A.H. is a smart guy, of course he also know you don't bite the hand that feed you! LOL!!! That's why my hubby says! There is nothing like perked coffee! I think you've inspired me to get one when this coffee maker dies! LOL!!! Love the slippers, my nana used to make them for us when we were kids, we called them "booties" and I happen to love the color pink! LOL!!! Keep warm and stay out of the snow!

I wish we had a 'dump day' in the UK, we can get prosecuted for taking anything left out for the trash collection unless we get permission from whoever put it there. The local council would go ape if you tried to take ANYTHING from the dump, you just about get away with their dirt on your tires as you leave!
Those slippers look so snuggly, and I love the glass bird.

Good treasures you found in the rice cooker and coffee maker!! Hopefully the weather will allow you to go visit the precious new baby soon!!

The scenery out your window could be the same as the one outside mine! I'll even throw in my cat...although Squeak is gray and white. I had won a CSN gift cert. also and found the site fun and fairly reasonable. Nice finds from the dump!

When my husband and I first got married, 35 years ago, we used an old electric percolator that my Grandmother gave us. Thinking the coffee always tasted better.
Keep safe and warm in your snowy corner of the world.

WOW, and you got it at the dump? That is some dump you have lucky score! I thought with all the snow accumulating outside I might actually get some hooking done, wrong ironing took priority. Your giveaway gets better each day! Stay warm and safe, blessings.

You find such great treasures..I have a rice cooker and love it. I also love those slippers, which is the type I wear around my house all the time and the bird looks something like a collection I have. Very pretty...also love the cat, as I am an animal lover. We have not had snow here in Newfoundland yet this year. Expecting some overnight. Hope we don't get much...we are spoiled rotten now....

Wow what a score on the rice cooker! :) My Mom always had a percolator. She tried the drip coffee makers and went back to her percolator. I actually picked one up at an estate sale..never used...with the tags still on it. It had all the paperwork still in the inside....AND it was 24K gold! It had the price tag still on it...it was $100. I forget now..I researched it...I think it was made in the 50's. I'm not sure what I'll do with it...I know I'll never use it. For now it sits in my dining room. ;)

I too have a bird feeder and love feeding watching them everyday.....I dont have a cat right now....but my Jack Russell is a different story....she ran in the house with a little JUNKO's feed sticking out of her mouth..I screamed and she dropped it and the bird flew away!!!

I like perked coffee too! The next time my Mr. Coffee goes out, I think I'll switch to a percolater. Reminds me of home. What an awesome find - a brand new rice cooker! Good for you! ;-)

We had chili for a cold snowy day too. And today I made vegetable soup.
What a wonderful treasure you found at the dump. My husband came home from our landfill once with a set of ladies golf clubs, and we laughed and laughed wondering which of the spouses threw them out!!!
Stay warm!!

Cats are so cute when they look out the window. That percolator coffee pot reminds me of my grandmother; and the slippers too; she used to make those. I can't believe you can find new things at the dump.
Have a great Sunday!
