Vertigo Ugg

The Cataract surgery went perfectly.
But I got vertigo and I did not handle my autoimmune addisons very well. So it was a little scary for awhile.
And because of vertigo I wasn't on line much at all.
Thank you for all your wonderful encouragement. The next eye is May 5th.

Sorry for that attack but am pleased the surgery went fine. You will be happy with your eyesight once the other is done. Hope your addisons doesn't occur in May.

I have had vertigo before so I can totally understand not being able to post. My vertigo was from ear problems. Had to see a physical therapist to help with my balance issues. She told me to keep peppermints in my purse. Said to have one when first beginning feeling woozy, it does help, a bit.

I'm glad the eye went well. Thanks for the update, including the downside, but I'm hoping that's better now?

Prayers. I’m glad you are doing better. The second procedure can feel easier. Seeing better is a big treat. 🥳
I’m still on the after surgery eye drops from my 2nd and last cataract removal.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad reaction. Vertigo is not fun and it is scary. Prayers that you continue to feel better and the next one goes better.

the dreaded vertigo...it is so hard to shake. there are several good medications on the market you can take, there are a few that do not require a prescription.
meclizine works well for me...it treats vertigo, nausea and vomiting. if you need a prescription for it, i'm sure the doctor will call it into the pharmacy you use!!! feel better!!

Hope ghat you are feeling better, Cathy, because as others have noted vertigo is most unpleasant. I had similar effects but not after cataract surgery, which went well several years ago, but from my recent illness and becoming dehydrated. I was advised to drink sports drinks with electrolytes and that helped.

Glad to read that the surgery itself went well but am sorry about the vertigo and the autoimmune Addison's...I hope that, by now, you're doing better.

I'm glad it was successful. I hate vertigo. One more to go.

A couple of years ago I suddenly started having issues with vertigo and tinnitus, this was on and off for close to a year. One doctor prescribed betahistine which worked after several hours but wasn't a preventive. Several of the natural/vitamin remedy sites I read recommended taking magnesium supplements 250 mg/day. I haven't had an episode since. Good luck.
