New Phone

Well this sweet dog headed for home today. We will miss her and I think she will miss us.
A tree on our walk being decimated by woodpeckers. This tree is mostly dead so I am sure it was full of nice juicy bugs.
I met my daughter at the thrift store to give her back the dog. I got a few things. The top and jacket with a summer purse 12.00.
And something for fun how to read tea leaves.
I was able to finish my rug I have been working on since Nov. I will not start another rug until fall. I plan to paint and do my junk journal this summer.
Since my Addison's flared up when I had my first cataract done. I have struggled with vertigo off and on and just a general feeling lethargic. Today is the first day I have felt myself.
I have had Addison's for 30 years. (President Kennedy had Addison's.) When my adrenal glands failed. I was pretty sick before it was figured out. And since then I have had a few issues but this one hit me the hardest in the 30 years. My next eye is Tuesday so I am trying to be better prepared.
So forgive me for dropping out I will try to get around to visit everyone soon.
  ***************
We got new phones in all this process and it is a steep learning curve our phones were old and so are we!
*******************
We are getting much needed rain today so I am tucked in my rug room painting.
Have a wonderful day!

We have a tree trunk in our woods that wood peckers have torn up. So interesting what they do.
You did great at the thrift shop!
We have a friend with Addisons. Glad yours is settling down again. I know it's pretty miserable when it flares.

I'm sure dealing with a chronic illness isn't easy. As you work on your junk journal I hope you'll share some pages. I'm not sure if that's what I made. Maybe but I'm not sure.

I agree with granny - I think it is hard to work with chronic diseases. Take care of yourself.

Vertigo is tough. Be good to yourself. And take me with you to the thrift store, great finds!

Great finds in the thrift shop. I don't know much about Addison's. I hope you are well and not suffering vertigo today.

Farewell to the dog. Another visit soon, perhaps? And you scored well at the thrift shop. I just love your rug, the pattern, everything. You don't walk on those, do you? Truly a work of art. I was sorry to hear your Addison's has kicked in again. But glad to hear that things might be looking up.

Classy outfit you picked up. I have an android phone which I keep in the car only for emergencies. I have a land line and rarely go anywhere so not necessary to have the extra costs for data usage. Enjoy your crafting.

Great photo of the pup...and wonderful score at the thrift store. I especially love the jacket. (Of course, I love most things black). And what a fun find with the instructions on reading tea leaves even if you only use it for decor. Your fish rug turned out fabulous! I usually don't hook much in the summer months either for various reasons...but now I don't hook much - or stitch much - EVER! Glad to hear you are feeling a bit more yourself today and hope it continues. Auto-immune diseases totally suck I know. (BTW...Snowdog had atypical Addison's...)

I hope all goes welll with your eye surgery. Continued prayers! I love your thrift finds. Cute outfit! My uncle was fabulous at reading the coffee grounds of Greek coffee. Sounds weird but he was always right on the money!

Gosh, you are going through some struggles- I hope the next cataract surgery is easier for you and no more flare ups of the Addison's. Vertigo is the pits. I do love your fish rug!

Good thoughts going out your way for successful eye surgery and it’s ok to drop out of blogland till you feel better as self-care is more important. Bloggers understand and will still be here. You scored some great thrift store finds for warmer weather and sure you will enjoy the newer cell phones.

Hope the second one goes better for you. I saw a forecast for Monday that said 70º but another one said 60º. Why the difference? Wither way I'll be outside so much to do in my gardens.

I never heard about Addison but I've had Vertigo before and it was scary the first time I had it. I couldn't even walk without hanging on to something.
Best of luck with the eye surgery. Hope everything goes well.
Lovely spring/ summer jacket.
Take care, Hugs.

You did really well at the thrift shop--such nice finds for a great price.
I don’t know much about Addison’s either, but I hope you’re feeling steadier now and that the vertigo has eased up.
Loved your photos, especially that sweet dog.

Oh, that picture of the dog looking out the window is wonderful. I love window photos. That is a lot of damage done to the tree. I'm wondering if it's a woodpecker or something else? Woodpeckers usually drill holes in trees and under the eaves of houses. This looks like a lot! You found some nice stuff at the thrift store. The blouse is cute. Love the May quote at the end. May is a delightful month....my birth month and mother's day. ; )
