Tonight the sun was a bright orange. Sadly because of the Canadian fires burning.

My grand has been into tea cups and tea pots. I took several boxes up for her to choose what she wanted. I used to collect them. She unpacked them all and choose what she wanted.
She was so excited! And so was I to pass them on to her♡
I have so many tomatoes! Now if they would just turn red!! Boy are they slow this year.

Busy week ahead husband has appointments. And I have several bags and boxs headed to the thrift store.

I'm so glad you have a home for the teapots! That's incredibly special. And our skies/sun are the same. Bright orange and lots of haze from the fires. Smoke too (that we can smell). I feel for them up there.

Nice to have a granddaughter who appreciates and wants your things. I'm getting ready to pass my MIL's tea and china onto the thrift store. Not sure they want them either. Glad your weather is more comfortable. My volunteer tomatoes are still green too.

Happy Birthday Week! We were cooler too this past week - some mornings the lows dipping into the mid 40's. Looking at the forecast, though, it is supposed to get a bit warmer each day this week and hitting 90 by the weekend. We have been under severe air quality warnings for almost a week now and the haze is so thick that you can't even see the sun. But at night it seems to clear a bit and then you can see the bright orange moon. It looks like something out of a Halloween storybook illustration. That's awesome that Miss B has taken an interest in your teacups and pots. For my grand's 1st birthday, my DIL did a "Onederland" theme and amassed a ton of tea cups and pots and filled them with gorgeous flower arrangements. They were beautiful...and now I believe she has her own collection of tea things LOL. Have a great week!
I sure do love summer juicy tomatoes. Sadly I can't grow them in my wooded yard.

It was hazy all day here yesterday too from the Canadian wildfires. Sweet B is a lucky granddaughter to have some of your teacups and teapots. How wonderful that you were able to pass these on to her. Janice
How wonderful that your teapots and teacups will have a new home with your granddaughter who will surely treasure them especially since they are from you! It is very hazy here from the wildfires, but also less heat and humidity.
I can put myself in your granddaughter's shoes and imagine being given the choice of pretty tea cups. (As if I don't have enough already!!). No wonder she was excited.
It's unfortunate that so much smoke is causing people health problems and I wouldn't be surprised to find that the smoke affects sunshine which in turn affects ripening fruit/tomatoes etc..

Happy Birthday! Sounds like you had a lovely day with your friend. How can that be Miss B? My she's so grown up and how fun that she likes the tea pots. They will have a good home with her! I have given some things to my oldest Granddaughter because she's an old soul! Ha! I can't believe she just turned 30! We've had a really nice start to August with cool temps and low humidity. But that hot and humid is heading this way for the weekend. Oh well, it will soon be the best time of year! My tomatoes are slow to turn also. I want to make some sauce but it's hard with only one at a time gets red in a week! Have a great rest of the week Cathy!
