The recipe is from King Arthur Flour. And they are delicious!
Yesterday I attacked an overgrown iris garden.
To say I was completely exausted after is an understatement. But I am so satisfied with myself for getting it done. Today I attacked another garden more on that later.
My bee balm was very busy today. While I was standing there a bee. A butterfly, and a humming bird were all on the same patch.
Last thur my daughter,my grand and I had a lovely day together. Pedicures, shopping, dinner, and a play. I love time with them more than anything in the world.

Have a great time in Maine - looking forward to hearing about it.
OH THOSE DOUGHNUTS look fantastic. Your getaway sounds lovely. Maine is my favorite vacation spot. ENJOY. Doreen
It was milder here than it has been but not as wonderful as your 50* weather. beautiful markings on the butterfly. Enjoy time with the girl getaway.
You've been a working machine! Glad you are getting a bit of a holiday in Maine!
Oh those goodies look delish. Gardening is exhausting! So nice you're off to reward yourself you deserve it. Have fun!
We have donut pans and have never tried making them, maybe once the weather cools down. Fall would be a good time! Hope you and yours have a great getaway to Maine!
you cleaned up that garden in awesome fashion!! i have been pruning plants and it feels so good, but as you said, it can be exhausting!! the day with family sounds fun filled, have a great time on your trip!!
It sounds like a perfect get-away. Enjoy!
I'll be redoing my irises in September. It will be a big job and I will be needing help.
Enjoy your mini holiday at the ocean 🌊🌊🌊
I have never made a donut in my life - those looked so good. Enjoy your trip!
OOOO....chocolate (?) donuts sound amazing. Which KA recipe is that? I think I need to try it LOL. One usually can't go wrong with a KA recipe. Yay you on getting the gardens cleaned out. Mine are a hot, hot, mess. Our weather is on a bungee cord I swear. Last week we were almost-perfect early summer weather. Temps never got above 75, and the skies were (mostly) clear. The heat moved into today - but, with it, thunder, lightning and torrential rain. We're under an areal and flash flood warning until tomorrow. Eeek. Have a great getaway - it sounds wonderful!
I made the blueberry muffins recipe you posted. I forgot to write down 1 egg so mixing the batter was difficult until I came back to your post and discovered what I'd left off. I had to use more milk than 1/4 cup. I chalk that up to the King Arthur flour which I find needs more moisture than anyother flour. The muffins were delicious. I allowed Dan to eat two of the 9 I made. I had one. So there are 6 for lunch tomorrow when two friends come.
I love chocolate anything so yes please to those yummy donuts. Your gardens are looking mighty fine. Have fun in Maine! Janice
