All Great Things....

I headed to Moody Beach in Maine Wednesday afternoon.
Perfect weather.

My longtime friend invited my daughter, grand and myself for some beach time at her lovely beach house.

We made the most of the time together. Perkins Cove to walk around and buy some candy, then we headed for some ice cream. How I love my time with my Favorite people in the world.

On Saturday morning up and out early to church sale.
I got this rain chain...

I got this cement witches shoe planter, which I love!

And these clothes and some odds and ends.

And for those who follow "Mavis Butterfield" she has an online blog
and Etsy store. She talks about how she decorates her house on the outside. Her home is right in town Cape Porpoise.

But as usual all great fun must come to an end.
What wonderful and joyful memories I have to keep.
****
I am home I have cleaned out part of my closet and a cupboard I have a lot going to the thrift store this week.
It is a rainy day I have my feet up now catching up on everyone's blog and I will hook a bit. We are in for the crazy heat again this week along with some haze from Candian wildfires. I hate to wish summer away, but I am over is heat.
Have a wonderful week.

We have yet to get to the Maine coast since moving to NH in 2020. I think it will happen soon though.
Smoky haze yesterday surprised me because I thought it was a local brush fire. I could even smell the smoke. We discovered it came from Western Canada. Much needed rain today here.

I have been there many times as I live in New England. It's such a pretty place.

You can share your rain with us…pretty please.
What a fun get away with your family and dear friend.
As always you find the best thrift treasures.
Wouldn’t you love to sell hooking items for what MB does? Her prices are crazy expensive IMHO 🤷‍♀️
Happy hooking!

Your mid-week getaway sounds wonderful. How sweet of your friend to invite you and your "girls" to stay. I've often looked at rainchains and wonder if they really work. I've been tempted, but never have given in and gotten one. Great way to try one for you. Love the witch's boot too. I think it's the same one I have....somewhere.

Oh Cathy, how gorgeous is that -- that fabulous sky. And I'm in love with the picket fence!

I've been to Maine once and would love to go back. It's so beautiful! I love your rain chain too, another thing I'd really like.

It has been a while since I went thrift shop clothes shopping. You got some beauties there. I agree with Lauren on Mavis' over priced rugs. Sure wish I had the name to reap that kinda cash.

Hope it’s cooler this week. We have the hazy smoke too. It sounds like a great time with your girls.

Not sure where in Maine you were but it would have been fun to meet up when we were in Maine! You found some gems at that sale. That witches boot would have made it to my house for sure! We have a couple more hot and humid days until a cool down by the end of the week. I hate to wish my life away but a cool night and a fire and a few pumpkins would make me smile! Love the pics. Miss B is growing up!

I have never been to Maine or any of the New England States and that is one dream of mine to go. I love the witch's boot and am sure you will fill it with something good. Looked like a GREAT time!

I've found that church sales often have the best "stuff" at reasonable prices.
Sounds like you had a great time away and now it's back to normal life. Stay cool if you can. ☀️☀️☀️

I bet that was fun! Our local Assistance League thrift store is having everything half price...couldn't find a thing. You got some great goodies. That beach shot looks wonderful. I don't see another soul. You can't find a place to lay your towel at the beach here in Laguna.

Looks like you had a wonderful Maine getaway and then found some great bargains at the church sale. Clearing out other things for donations makes room for the new items too.
