Friday morning my sweet friend and I headed for our White Mountains. Because we are over 65, we got in free to a couple of attractions. First up the Flume. I believe it is a 2-mile loop in and out. and what a beautiful day we had on top of it! When you get to this point in the flume the temps drop about 15 degrees.
There is so much beauty everywhere. and well worth the trip
A little bit about the flume. We are going to try to hike in in the winter and see the falls all frozen. Time will tell if we do.
Next up 6 miles north Cannon Mt. Where we took the gondola to the top and to hike around up there for a while.
They have a very cool observation deck they said in the morning you could see for 70 miles. And if you know skiing Bode Miller learned to ski on this mountain and donated his metals to their museum.
A pretty awesome day.
Sat rain again. It rained all day off and on, so I did major housework because the heat is coming back this week and I have plans to lay around and complain about it.
But my gardens are looking wonderful. These are the germaniums I started this spring you can hardly see the container anymore.
And hiding behind my lilac is a foxglove it must be wild I haven't seen it before but it's a beauty.
Husband is now making owls they are pretty cute.
I went to the dump with him today and got all these cookbooks in the swap shop, a new package of tomato food and a new pk of cupcake papers for Halloween. I will thumb through the cookbooks write down any recipes I want from them and donate them to the local thrift store.
And last but not least I finished my stitching piece. I will fill it with lavender.

I will be around to visit everyone this week I have an eye appointment tomorrow, but the rest of the week looks good.
Have a great week!

Nice you can hike near by-awesome views, a great collection of cookbooks, the owls look like a fun project for your husband.
Lovely flowers!
Happy new week hugs Kathy
What a nice outing! I love your stitching piece. I hope you have a good week!
What a beautiful day you had. Your photos are gorgeous!
It's been really dry here, they predict rain and we only seem to get a drizzle...
Your stitching looks nice and will smell wonderful with the lavender!
How lucky to live by mountains. In northern Ohio, we barely have a hill 🤷♀️
Gorgeous views.
I can’t believe the size of your geranium. One of the two surviving plants that I overwintered is finally blooming but it is maybe 20% the size of yours.
I always say God's beauty is in every one of our 50 states and you always find the beauty in yours. Loved the mountain photos. Cute owls too. Janice
