It's Almost Like Old Times!

We have had a couple of foggy mornings. There is something beautiful about the fog as it rolls through the woods. It is quiet and peaceful. When we get up in the morning there is no TV, no radio, just quiet. I also rarely use any radio or music in my car, just me and my thoughts.  I have said this before but I think the world is noisy, you have to look for or make your own quiet.

Sat night the moon was just coming up over the trees.
We will not see the full moon tonight it has been raining pretty hard most of the day. Tomorrow high winds to dry it out with wet snow flakes coming by the week's end. Early spring in NH you never know what you will get. It was 60s this past week.

I have been trying to eat healthy so I dug out my egg coddle.

Just spray it with some Pam, add an egg, put the cover on...

Microwave for 40 seconds, voila yummy egg with no fuss or muss.
It makes eating breakfast very easy.

I dug out some of my Easter decorations. (We are having Sweet B and family over night the night before Easter just like old times!!!!!) This really is a table of memories. The painting was painted by my daughter when she was 4, and the eggs were all colored over the years by sweet B. While it will not our usual Easter...

With the whole clan! but it is a start, just having Sweet B and family.

I am still working on the same rug. I think it is because I am not loving this rug but I refuse to give up.
***
I looked for new running shoes this week I went to 2 shoe stores, none in my size! So as a last resort we drove about 45 minutes south to the city. I finally found hiking boots and running shoes( that I walk in, I like the extra cushion) I like to buy local but they almost force you to order on line. ( am I not an Amazon person)
****
Have a wonderful and healthy week.

You are right. It can be so hard not to have to turn to Amazon, when local stores have low stock. I love your Easter display of all those eggs and that painting done by your daughter at only 4! Family treasures for sure. I am going to get an egg coddle! I was unaware of these. I'm afraid it will be off to look on AMAZON or Ebay because I so doubt we have any locally!

What a great post! You and I must be kindred spirits for I love the quietness and peacefulness of the mornings. I buy my shoes at the same little shop where I got my shoes as a kid. They used to wrap the shoe box in paper and tie it with a string.

I love eggs but they are high in cholesterol....or at least the yolk is and that's the best part for dunking the toast in. I do buy Eggbeaters but just isn't the same and takes all the fun out of eating eggs.
Your pattern is kinda cute but know what you mean because I've worked on pieces I liked and bought but they sorta turned sour on me while hooking.

We've had rain here also for the last couple of days and the river level is quite high. I haven't displayed any Easter decorations as we will be alone this Easter again.

I enlarged the photo of Miss B.'s painted Easter eggs for a closer look and the one with the hair brought a smile to my face. I'm glad that at least you will have your beloved Miss B. and her family with you for Easter.

I'm not an Amazon shopper although I've bought books on Amazon in the past. Like you, I prefer driving in silence and very seldom turn the radio or TV on.

Hugs, Julia

What a great painting your DD daughter did at four. I am impressed! "Memory" eggs from Miss B.
Wonderful that you will spend Easter with Sweet B.
Happy Easter, my friend :-)

I like having the quiet in the house after I sign out for work. Very peaceful indeed. How sweet to have sweet B and your family over for Easter. It will be once again the two of us for Easter. My grandson caught covid from a fellow student last week and then gave it to his mom and sister. UGH Janice

Yes, the world is noisy. I do usually listen to music in my car...and sometimes at home for part of the day, but I like my quiet too. Even if the music I have on is "unobtrusive" in both volume and genre, I can only listen for so long and off it goes. If only I could shut the thoughts in my head off as easily. I think you're making great progress on the rug....and I am the last person to judge anyone who falls out of love with something they are hooking LOL. We had several inches of snow Saturday night that is still around even though today we almost made it to 60ΒΊ.... The wind, though, has howled all day and is still going strong even though it is late. We are back to the 20's/30's tomorrow. Sigh. Your table of memories is so very sweet....and am glad you will have the most important members of your clan with you...and a sleepover to boot! Enjoy! ~Robin~ (PS...I love the fog too...it's quiet. πŸ˜‰)

We are having a roller coaster of weather this week, today 70, tomorrow 30. But Spring is here, and we are able to enjoy some lovely days, and the not so nice ones are not so bad knowing we are at the end of the season of snow and freezing. Looking forward to garden days. It's hard to finish something when you are not keen on it. Sometimes just putting it off a little more and coming back, you get a renewed inspiration about it.

I love watching the fog lift in the morning, it is peaceful and.a nice way to start the day. We had a rental in Maine, on a river and I did that every morning on the porch with my tea. I am glad you can have the family over, not the same but still special. I love your rug, nice design.

I'm not an Amazon person either. They are so out of control it isn't even funny....did you know they now fill prescriptions? No thank you...
This will certainly be an Easter to rejoice! It's going to be a lot of fun having Sweet B and family over for a holiday! Enjoy!
I agree... the world is way too noisy...

What great news that you also will spend Easter with family as we will be doing too in RI, post vaccination. I can understand the difficulty in finding shoes as it happens to me all the time. While I have used Amazon for some things, shoes, clothes and food are not among that group. Early morning is the best time of day in my opinion and not listening to anything is what I enjoy most as well. Happy 🐰 Easter to you and your family, Cathy.

The full moon was so beautiful ... I enjoyed it too. Beautiful pictures.
We will also have a small festival here for Easter, not with a large family as usual.
I wish you a happy Easter ... I especially like the colorful Easter eggs.
Hug from Viola
P.S. in the morning we now have beautiful birdsong ... the breeding season begins.
