A Room Without A View

I was in full baking mode for a cookie walk this weekend to benefit the food pantry. My first time using a cookie press and the last time that is much harder than I want to work for cookies.

Then I found a Madeline recipe so I tried out my new pan OMG that is a keeper recipe! It made a dozen I passed out a few and we ate the rest with tea yummmm.

I finished my Christmas stocking, very happy with it.

This is the one I did years ago not that happy with the gold braid I put on it but I have decided to leave as is and move on.

Working on finishing this little rug I hate whipping a rug!
But I am almost done.

I got my tree up.

put out a few of my Santa's
Sorry about the pictures my phone is making me crazy with these pictures!

I spent a couple of days in the hospital! On Wed I started to feel sick by Wed night I was full on SICK! Long story short I feel much better and all I can say is WOW. I just hope that is it for me for the rest of the winter or ever! I have never had anything like it before.

Have a wonderful week we are cold but sunny I will take it over snow any day.

Those cookies look good, I do miss making sweets.
Sorry to hear you were so sick, that last flu I had was the worst yet, seems to hit everyone badly.

I'm sorry that you landed in the hospital for two days but I'm glad you're feeling better. Oh my gosh, those classic Madelaine cookies look so yummy. I can see why they are a keeper. Are you using a metal mold or silicone mold? I've never tried making cookies with a cookie press. Your's look so nice.
I like how you decorated your Christmas stocking on the wall.
Stay well, Hugs, Julia

I've never made cookies using a cookie press.
Seems every couple days, I'm adding to our cookie collection in the freezer -
then, Christmas day, I will arrange a platter or two to place on the dessert table.
Glad you are feeling better.

So sorry to hear you were sick. Must have been really bad if you were admitted to the hospital.
Love your hooked pieces. Hopefully you have finished the binding. UGH! Maybe if you would stain the gold braid you would like the stocking better. Just a thought.
Stay well!!!

Hope you're all better now! Sorry to hear you were in the hospital. This has already been a bad year for colds and such. Your decorations are cute! We are cold but have had some sun and I'm OK with that! The south is getting the snow..hope they enjoy it! Anyway, take care!

Ha...I've had a cookie press forever, and have never even used it. Not even once. But now that I read your post, I'm gonna drag it out just for the fun of it. I'll get back to you on whether it ends up back in the cabinet! Hope you are well and continuing on with your obvious Christmas Cheer! Love your work! FA LA LA!!!
