A Cold Week

It was a very cold and snowy week and much to
early for us.

Thanksgiving morning was the coldest on record!
We were tucked in the the wood stove and fireplace going.
We had Thanksgiving here just us two of us. We were invited to my daughter's and her in laws but we really wanted to just tuck in.
Our lives are so busy it was good to have a day just for us.

This Saturday was the first nice day we have had in a bit.
So I bought some cheap wreaths, changed the bows and added a
sheep that my husband made me years ago. Voila Christmas.

We didn't go far Sat night so I spent the night binding and adding it to a pillow. I have since added some of my mother's old buttons on the corners.

Today between cleaning the house and making beef stew and biscuits, I am binding this stocking that I hooked years ago.
I hooked two stockings years ago and hated how I finished the first one and then I guess I gave up. But I am back at it.
*****
We are in for more snow this week
Have a great week!

We've had rain and more rain. Then suddenly it turned warmer..50de today and sunny! I guess the cold is coming this week. I'm not ready for it either but Mother Nature didn't ask my opinion! I love all your decorations and rug hooking...so talented! Stay safe and warm. Jack and I celebrated quietly too since we had a house full the weekend before. Take care Cathy!

Your hooking is lovely Cathy. I know how you feel about the winter weather, it's way too early for me too. I'm feeling like I want to stay close to home.
Sending warm hugs.

So sorry about your weather. UGH!
Your Thanksgiving sounded perfect to me. Mine was good but hectic.
Love the pillow. The buttons will add a special touch :)

Awwww, I love the sheep your husband made you; how very thoughtful of him. Also like your truck pillow and do like your stocking. Not sure if this is the before you didn't like it or the after. But I LIKE IT!

We have been getting the rains, but at least we had a nice day for Thanksgiving, albeit cold as heck.
Love how your pillow came out and your stocking, something I should do a few of.

All the sunlight sparkling off the snow looks so pretty! Sounds like a cozy Thanksgiving! It was just the 2 of us for dinner at our home as well... it truly is a great day to relax, have some quiet time and reflect on the fun times that happened through the year! :-)

Snuggle down in your cold weather and be crafty. I like the sound of that!
