It may still be fall but I went to my first Christmas open house
this is one sweet shop. It is in a barn and her focus is stitching
but they do have some rug hooking. Her wool is lovely.
I bought a couple of books, red dot and this wreath/ candle holder
I know it is hard to see. I just love it I have kept it on the inside door so I can enjoy it.
I got a chance to attend my rug hooking guild meeting and it was quillies
day!
I had never made them before it was fun except when I burned my thumb so badly putting them on the tree form, it has bubbled up.
Ok I know I have been talking about Christmas but really
I decorate for thanksgiving.
These are old they are made from paper ribbon. My aunt gave them to me years ago. (the turkey is a candle)

What a week we had Last Sunday Oct 29th we had a northeaster
but with rain instead of snow. It took trees and light poles down by the dozens. We lost power about midnight. By Thursday I was desperate for power. And luckily we got it back! I feel for those who have been out a month or more in a Puerto Rico God bless them.

We also drove to Boston this week for husband's yearly which he did great.
Have a great week everyone!!!

I've been to a couple of Christmas open houses too but I do have Thanksgiving decorations up. My favorite craft show is this coming weekend and that has been a tradition of mine for about 30 yrs or more. I don't buy much now since I really don't need anymore decorations but it's fun to just walk around and see what's for sale! I love your candle wreath...enjoy! We had tornado warnings and super bad storms tonight but didn't lose power..thank goodness. So glad hubby had a good report. One more thing to be thankful for! Take care Cathy
Love the wreath, nice to have a light on it, good idea for mine, I can easily do a candle myself and nicer for the front then a dark wreath at night. I used to do trees with glue guns, tempted to try some but the cones are so expensive now.

OUCH!!! Just reading about your burn makes me cringe.
I can't imagine being without power for 5 days. I'm happy you finally have it restored.
Hugs :)

I love the acorn wreath with the candle. So sorry about the burnt fingers while making your quilly project. I hope your fingers are getting healed.
I'm so glad David is doing good. Way to go.
We are having rain today but it's warm. I had to turn on my fan during the night, even though O had my heat off. Just crazy weather but at least, it's not snowing.
Take care, Hugs, Julia
I have burned myself making trees like that last year. I could feel it to myself when I read that. I still want to make those trees. I am so glad you got your power back on, that was a long time. We have finally cold weather, so I know you are enjoying yours. Every thing looks so pretty and ready for Thanksgiving. I love decorating for Thanksgiving too. I love your things. Have a great week.
How fun those quillies look! We some some snow last week as well. I am thinking about Christmas myself. Janice
I just refuse to decorate for Christmas until Thanksgiving weekend.
If I decorate too early, everything is covered with dust by Christmas. LOL
I don't rug hook but get inspiration from those who do.
