Sweet Blessings

I wish I could say I haven't posted because I was busy creating. But not true I haven't even got a book I am involved in, very rare for me.
I have been working on reorganizing and cleaning out. Still more to do but it looks better already.

The news oh the news is more than I can take. We usually only listen to our local station but today oh today how sad.
I get very weepy thinking about it. I will not get into the gun argument but I grew up with them, we all did. My grandfather made his living as a Maine hunting guide. My family all hunted there was never any misuse of guns in our very large family. So what is the answer?
I always feel safe in our little corner of the world but then I hear that 40 minutes from us in a very small town with historic homes there was a guy trying to break into homes. He had drugs on him and maybe he chose there because the houses are spread out just like my neighborhood. The one thing about our neighborhood, we are on a dead end road and the retired couple down the street see all! God Bless them!

We have a clear cold sky tonight just right for star watching.
The moon is just amazing. So for just tonight I will count my blessings and pray for those in Florida.....

So sad... When will the killing stop. What a crazy world we live in. So much could be accomplished if everyone love their neighbours.

My husband is a news junkie. I detest the repetition and the constant speculations and the barrage of questions. I can do without the news. It really gets depressant when violence constantly finds its way into the news everyday.

I started hooking again. I'm working on a challenge rug to use up my left over wool worms.

Take care and stay safe.
Hugs,
Julia

So sad that folks have to rob good decent ones for drugs. I am de-cluttering the house this weekend. Janice

It is hard, I try not to watch the news lately, it does make me sad and I know the pain they are going through.
We live in a gun neighborhood, so I guess the robbers stay away, but once the house across the street got broken into, but it was empty at the time, so they must have known. Storm coming in tomorrow so we need to get out for food and things before it hits. Tonight I am enjoying the stars too, love sitting out for short periods at night, always relaxes me.

It's a sad world we live in. The guns are not the problem! I grew up with a shotgun behind the front door. My son takes my grandson to the gun range. Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the country and look what is going on there. I'll get off my soapbox. Sorry.
Hugs :)

As I get older I'm really not enjoying even leaving my house! We can't live in fear though so we just have to be like your retired neighbors and keep a look out for our family and friends. It's super cold here and we've had snow too. I guess winter really is here! Stay warm and safe this weekend Cathy!

The world gets scarrier the older We get. My husband works for the highway patrol. He is not an officer but working with law enforcement on a daily basis. Even the canines have risks they take every day. I wish people could see how the majority of officers are great people. cheri
