New Bling....

Yep new silverware! I don't think I have purchased new silverware
Since  I was first married and that was a good long time ago.
It felt nice to clean out the old odds and ends.

I had some major stomach issues this week, not a virus but I am on
antibiotics and was on a liquid diet for 2 days. So I pulled out my cookbooks and put markers in pages I want to get back to, crazy I know.

I still don't have a rug on my frame so I am going
to read this, it is silly and if you have read one you have read them all. But it makes me laugh out loud and that is just what I need right now.

One of my friends is gravely ill and I haven't had
much sleep and I am glued to the phone waiting for up dates
If you have an extra prayer please send it her way.

I made husband some shrimp dip and a birthday cake
to take to his pool buddies, so he is out playing pool at a friend's house. I am happily tucked in for the night with tea and fresh banana bread. Miss B is coming tomorrow to cheer me up. I can't wait!

Happiness is the result of being too busy to be miserable.

Sorry you are under the weather and sorry even more for you worrying about your friend. Stress does have an affect on our wellbeing so it is no wonder you are having stomach issues.

Switch your mind to a 'future' rug on your frame and think it thru to entertain your mind and reduce the stress if only temporarily.

Winter can be hard on us older folks. Little wee folks are what the doctor's ordered. That banana bread looks so delicious.
HAPPPY BIRTHDAY to your hubby.

I must be happy because i've been so very busy lately that I fell asleep at the computer this morning while reading some blog posts after breakfast and barn work. I needed a good nap as I returned to bed and slept till 11:30 am. My brother was down for 3 days and did a lot of repairs and renovation on for energy saver lighting fixtures and painting.
I'm cleaning the whole house from all the dust it created. I cherish my generous brother. He wouldn't take a cent for three full days of efficient work.

Enjoy that little Miss B. treasure. I bet she'll want to make cookies with you.

Hugs, Julia

I seem to have a problem with disappearing silverware, so always having to replace it, lol.
Sorry that you have been so sick, prayers that you feel better soon and prayers for your friend.
I know having Miss B will cheer you up and that is the best medicine. I have been keeping busy this weekend, and my joints feel it, but well worth it;)
