To Day I Dyed

I started with this wool and a plan

And so it begins, It is not dry yet but I will tell you this
it does not match my plan:(

Guess where Miss B took Pep for Father's day?

Story land! Where she wore a life jacket for the first time.
She wanted the Swan boats more than she didn't want to wear the life jacket.

Smile! It's fathers day I hope it was a great one!

Thank you all so much for your comments on my question about used wool. It made me feel so much better about things. What a wonderful place this blog world is!

You can always re-dye it :)
In regards to your last post, I see no problem in using recycled wool. I personally don't do it because I don't thrift shop much because I never find anything! I'm sure you can save lots of $$ doing it.
Miss B has Pepe wrapped around her little finger, doesn't she?
Hugs :)

Sorry your dye job didn't turned out as planned. I'm wondering what kind of dye you used and how you processed the wool before dying it. I'd love seeing a photo of the dye wool. You can always dye it again.

Miss B sure is growing up and it's nice seeing your man looking so healthy.

Enjoy your week.
Hugs,
JB

Lovely Miss B! What fun! Hope you are able to arrive at the color you were hoping to have for the wool.

Green has shown up in my life more and more...in my kitchen, on my deck, in my close closet....it's a strange phenom! I hope it turns out better than you planned! Miss B looks so much older in that first pic...what a beauty she is! Have a good week Cathy!

Not to worry, as that color will be used for something one day. And, as Lauren said it can be overdyed. I've had this happen with me many times and one thing I've learned to do is....from that 1 cup of boiling water is to pour in a little at a time to see what color comes up. If I need more than I pour more. And what is left I put in a small jar with a note on top as to the dye color or recipe or where to find it in a book.

Like I said, too many times this has happened so welcome to a large club of dyers.
