Home again!

Our trip to Niagara was interesting. We have never been before.

And this was the view all the way there. There were so many corn fields
and farms. We stopped at a rest stop on the through way and bought some
squash from an Amish young man. This was the only sun
we saw the entire time. Rain or clouds were all we got. I was also shocked at
how run down the area was. There were a lot of closed store fronts.
But we found a culinary arts school that was yummy and the casino.
We had never been to a casino so I played the 50 cent slots and won 80.00 yahoo.
***
Frost warning tonight so I made a vat of pesto with all the left over
basil in the garden,it will taste yummy this winter.
The last fair of the season is in our area this weekend,so we are going with
Miss B and her parents. I am looking forward to seeing them all.
Have a great week!

Run down? Maybe it's the time of year. Of course, I haven't been there since 1997, so it could have changed. I love the Table Rock cafe and gift shop, and Clifton Street was always so busy. Did you go down the elevator and come out at the base of the falls? Did you ride The Maid of the Mist? Both ways to get real wet from the spray.

It's been quite a few years, but the Falls are breathtaking! Congrats on your win. I've never been that lucky.

yahoo!

wondering how you make your pesto?

don't know why it would be run down in that area, I would have thought the opposite. glad you had a good time

Congratulations on your winnings at the Casino. That was great luck.

I've never went to Niagara Falls. I wonder why the place is run down. Too bad you didn't get decent wether while you were there.

I have never been to Niagara, maybe someday. We almost moved up to the syracuse area but it is just not New England to me;)

Love that pesto! I know you will enjoy it later. I have always wanted to go to Niagara Falls. Perhaps one day we will make it,though I have heard that the Canadian side is prettier.

I was just a young girl when I went to Niagara Falls with my parents, but I remember how beautiful they were. We stayed at a hotel that night and could see the falls at night with all the colored lights on them. I've always wanted to go back. So glad you got to go.

It's too bad the area has gotten run down. The economy is hard everywhere I guess. No frost here yet...enjoy that fair!
