My paper whites are starting to bloom. It has been
cold and windy here in NH so it feels so nice to have some flowers
growing.
A while ago I had a give away for these signs. Mine came in the mail today
it really is pretty and will look great on the side of my gray house.
Today is the 10th anniversary of the night club fire in Rhode Island.
The early morning after my husband was watching the news and started yelling for
me. Our daughter was going to College in RI., When I spoke to her the night before she
was on her way out with friends. So I started calling her cell and it went to voice mail.
Then I remembered her room phone and got a very sleepy girl. Lord I was so scared
She said "Oh mom I heard about it last night but didn't think to call you" So I can't imagine
how they those families felt and are still feeling all these years later.
We went to Boston today another good appointment for David!
Because we get up at 4am and are on the road by 5ish,by the time we
get home at 1 we are beat. we both crawled into bed and slept for 3 hours.
I don't think we have ever done that we must of really needed it.

They are predicting another Northeaster for us on Saturday night.
Again this should be a southern storm so we will not get the brunt of it.
But I have hit the library for reading material so I am all set for what ever.

I have tomorrow off and a new fiber store has opened that I want to visit.
and maybe hit a thrift store or two. Stay safe and warm everyone.

Hooray for another good trip to Boston! I can certainly understand how you could take a three-hour nap after your return home! Wishing you the best when this storm comes through!

Great news for hubby and you! Woo hoo! So good to hear.
I don't know how a parent ever gets over the loss of a child. So sad.

Wonderful news about David. So glad everything went well at the dcotors. That is a pretty good drive for you guys so I know you are exhausted leaving at such an early hour and getting home late

Hope the weather isn't too bad but I'm like you, as long as I have some sewing or a good book it's OK!

Wonderful news about your husband. I'm impatiently waiting for spring too. This winter has seemed like it's going on forever.
Your paperwites are lovel and delicate. So very happy that your husband is doing well and am sure you were both exhausted by the time you got home. Bet it felt great to take a nap in the middle of the day. But could you sleep that nigh I wonder? I'm not sure that I could have.

I'm glad that David is still doing well and that you got back home safely and i'm glad that it your day off too. I don't know about you but for me, this winter has dragged long enough. It's been too many snow storms and icy conditions and It had been dragging me down.
David is still in my daily prayers.
I love something blooming this time of year and I'm lucky that my poinsettias are still in full bloom since Christmas.
Stay safe and warm

I remember the fire in RI. How sad for all the families. Another trip to Boston, good news for you guys.
I just ran across your blog through another that I was visiting. I love your blog and am now your latest follower.
I was wondering where in NH you are...I was born and raised in Dover. Have a son and grands in Rochester still.
Would love to have you stop by my blog for a visit.

So glad for David and you! I love PaperWhites--wish I had some going (or growing) right now. Our children never realize how we worry--especially when we hear something tragic has happened near them. I remember calling my daughter in Boston on 9/11. She worked in the tallest building there and I was afraid the planes would hit that city too. When I finally got hold of her, she had no idea what was going on!!! We are suppose to get 6-7" of snow tonight--I can't wait. i love being snowed in so I have an excuse not to go anywhere--cross stitch and a good book await.
