I Love...

the smell of may flowers with the waxy whiteness of the blooms.

I love seeing my grand daughter's hand prints on the window.
They say she was here.

I love that the lowest tec toy was the biggest hit of our Easter. Children begging for a turn, waiting to hear the slapping of the duck's feet on the ground.

I love that I work in a small New England college town. I work on Main street, this is my view.

And this too. The church my daughter grew up in and was married in.

I love that cleaning out a drawer I found a ufo from last year. It was thrown aside when husband got sick. I love that I found it and can finish it with a glad heart.
What do you love most about life?
***
R.I.P Dick Clark I spent many a Saturday morning watching you.
And many new years eves celebrating with you.

Is it a grandmother thing or an age thing? I too find myself loving the simple things like flowers and babies and the joy of a beautiful spring day. Great post!

I use to leave hand prints on glass doors too. I knew those little hands would be gone all too fast.
Love your view and love that beautiful forsythia bush...I really miss them.

Wow, Miss baby grew quickly. So cute.

I can understand how precious those little fingerprints are. The same happened to me when my twin grandsons were just learning to walk and they both stood up at my patio door and left small hand prints on my window. I couldn't bear to wash them and left them there for a long time. I appreciated so much these prints that they left me after they went home.

How nice that you found that rug at this time. Happy Hooking.
Hugs, JB

I love the smell of fresh cut grass in the spring; sand between my toes when walking on the beach with my boys; finding amazing garage sale goodies and bloggy friends like you!

Hope you and the hubby are going great!

Hello Cathy:
Such wonderful pleasures confirming that it is, indeed, the simple things which count so much in life.

This whole post reads rather in the manner of Rupert Brooke's 'These I have loved...'. Such joy.

I grinned when I read the part about the hand prints as I still have them on my windows from my little grands' last visit. :)
Such lovely photos and the post is too. I love the simple pleasures of life also.
What a pretty project you have there.
I guess I could write this morning I love that I can awaken without an alarm telling me it's time to get up, the first cup of coffee as I watch the daylight emerge from the darkness, sitting on the deck and hearing the birds chirp and sing, among so many other wonderful joys of life. I DO love the simple life.

I love the fingerprints too...that's my favorite!! Love your views too and New England is my favorite part of the country. Lucky you!! The rug looks like it will be a cheerful note on a stressful year. I hope mine ends as well.

My son is 43 and I still have his first grade handprint that was made as a gift to parents. It is still hanging on my sewing room wall.

Glad you are working on the UFO with a happy heart and it has wonderful vibrant colors to express your joy.
