We were suppose to have house guest this weekend but Husband had a set back and we had to cancel. But before we knew we had to cancel I was cleaning and getting the room ready and realized it is filled with things that were thrifted. This pillow case and beautiful sheet decorated with the most delicate crochet edging while bought at very different times they match like they were made for each other.
Of course to be comfortable you need 2 pillows each so I added the sweet embroidered pillow cases with a light weight handmade quilt again perfect match. The curtains were thrifted, the sheers are not quite that sheer the flash made it look like that. They are really priscilla curtains, the dreamy curtains that you crisscross. I needed a change and found this topper that I loved at a thrift. The lamp on the right was a trifted pair I got that have beautiful cut work shades, the chair was my MIL'S the stool is for their suitcase.
This is a little pin up lamp on the other side of the bed it would crowd the room to much to have another night stand. Perfect for reading in bed.
This was my daughters room until she decided to grow up and get married so in her honor I keep her worn out toe shoes in that room. So when she visits she remembers all of the hard work.
Because she did grow up and is married we get to play with this bundle of joy! She is eating baby food now and I have to leave the room sometimes because she gets so funny and I can't help laughing. When she gets frustrated she growls OMG it is so funny but of course daughter says "Mom! stop laughing" ah the joys of being a grammie.
I hope you had a chance to make the lavender bottles they look great on each pillow in the guestroom.
A very big welcome to my new follower! I am on the porch enjoying the last of the day have a great week. I am hooking up with house in the roses to show off my guest room and grand baby.

Babies sure grow fast. What a lovely girl. Wow, eating baby food already... I can't wait to see my grandson in August. They are coming for a visit.
Your thrifty bedroom accessories look vintage. It brings back sweet memories of all the embroideries I made on pillows ages ago. It was so much fun to embroider. Have a good week. JB

What lovely treasures you have accumulated to create a special place for guests. Maybe your company couldn't come, but now all of us got to see your lovely room. Thanks for sharing.

Cute Grandkiddo! They are a hoot aren't they? I know my own kids did similar things...but heck it's a lot more fun the second time around! Your guest room looks so sweet and comfy. I'm sorry you had to cancel and I hope your hubby will be back in good health soon.
What a pretty room. Baby is so sweet looking! Cheri
I especially love the turquoise pillowcase and crochet sheet top.
The whole room looks so inviting.
I'm new to your blog, but I do hope your husband is doing better soon.
The little grandbaby is so sweet.
A little food on the face never hurts at all!
I am sorry to hear of hubby's set back. How is he feeling now? Keep that sweet grandbaby around because she is good medicine for you both!!
Lots of love and hugs,
Susan and Bentley
The embroidery on the pillowcases really does match the sheets perfectly! And i love the ballet shoes.
I'm remembering your hubby in my prayers. Maybe you can have your company another time. Your linens are lovely. The aqua color is stunning. I have an antique pair of pillow cases embroidered with purple pansies. I must get them out and use them. Your grand-baby is precious and the story so cute. A memory to treasure forever. Do you scrapbook? I do, and would have had to do a page about the growl. SO precious. I hope to have a grand-baby in the next few years. :)
Till next time...
God bless you.

I am swooning over all that lovely vintage bedding and that baby. We have the same little red seat. My three year old still sits in the chair at the table. It is great. Hope your hubby is feeling better.

Oh my she is adorable! Just look at that face!
Now I can't ignore those gorgeous linens sitting up there at the top. They are so beautiful all put together. You must have a good eye for this. Your guest room looks very welcoming.
The blues and whites are so beautiful together.
What a cutie in the bumbo with the tray - looks like lunch was a hit ;-)
What a welcoming guest room. Everything flows so nicely together. Your granddaughter is so adorable and I'm sure when ever she visits you two have a ball with her. I had a growler in my house too. The more he growled the harder we would laugh.
A beautiful guest room with touches of love everywhere! Those ballet shoes bring back sweet memories of our daughters too. I have saved much but passed along their treasures when they had homes. My cedar chest with baby clothes now "lives" in Texas with my baby who's 32!!
Your room looks great! I have thrifted guest rooms also. Still looking for a bedspread for the one. I have to leave the room often because of laughing. I have even had food come out of my nose from trying to hold it in. That is the best part of grandmothering. Even more so, now that some of them are old enough to play along!
Cathy
..OH MY! i know, of course, how babies grow..lol..but! wow! she has grown so! (i think the last pic i saw, was the one w/her on davids chest, as a newborn!) she is sooooo ADORABLE! ..
