Well my sweet blog friends your prayers are being heard we have had some good news but the road is long. My dear friend Priscilla came over early one morning with coffee and muffins, in her hand was this Tibetan prayer flag that had been blessed by a Tibetan Monk. It was given to her as a gift she felt I could use it. She was so right it is my favorite thing in the whole world. When the wind blows the flags prayers are sent in the wind. I look at that flag all the time. The weather has warmed up and we are on the porch alot. I could sit for hours and watch that flag send prayers.
My gardens are growing in spite of being neglected.
Since my husband's illness we have been blessed with the support of so many people and a wonderful trend has begun when we receive phone calls there are "I love you" at the end from close family and friends where that was never said before. Hugs and visits, comfortable talks on the porch, time made to show their support and caring. None of this cost a dime but it is worth more than any amount of money could buy. So my sweet friends keep up the prayers the road is long. For today call someone, make time to visit, a hug or a smile could make someones day. I have read your comments over and over. I have also read your blogs to keep up and to make sure everyone is safe from the storms. Have a safe holiday.

I am glad you have had some good news. I am fascinated with that prayer flag. I love the theory behind the wind blowing the prayers up.
Stay strong and we are thinking of you

Hi Cathy, what a sweet, caring gift from your friend. Prayers and good thoughts are still winging their way across the pond to you and your dear family. Thinking of you all often and hoping for the best.

Sorry, blogger will only alow me to post anonymous comments :o(
I've never heard of these. What a wonderful gift. Stories like yours are really precious. Sometimes it takes a time like this to bring families and friends together... to realize how much they mean to each other. This happened when my husband was sick. My kids never talk to me now on the phone without saying "I love you. Take care and tell your husband that we bloggers care about him. ((HUGS)) Balisha
Cathy,
What wonderful friends you have and family! I like the idea of the prayer flags too! It is so important to keep the faith and hope alive while handling all that is on your plate.
Continued prayers for strength and healing!

Here's to prayers and the comfort of friendship! I know you are, and will continue to be blessed with many. Keeping your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Cathy, I wish that I had words of wisdom to give you. But all I can say is that I think of you and your husband often and offer my prayers for complete healing and courage. Having support from family and friendsis so very important, we don't realize it until we come across life shattering moments to really come to that awareness. It can mean everything to have loving and caring family and friends' support.
Hugs, Julia
I am so happy to hear you have received a bit of good news. Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers, sending blessings your way, Julie.
Oh Sweetie...
What a beautiful gift of love. I have never heard of a Tibetan prayer flag before and how honored to have it outside of Acorn Hollow to blow all the prayers. It is absolutely beautiful and I am so tickled your dear friend shared at just the right moment in time.
I love the gardens, and I know they bring your DH and you great peace and joy when you are on the porch.
I will continue to storm the heavens with prayers sweet one. I know that road is long, but I feel like we are just around the block. Each day of prayer brings us a little closer. We will take every little bit of good news that we get.
I am sending many virtual hugs to you sweet one. I will not stop praying for your DH and you. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
I keep thinking of you both and sending up prayers. Though the road will undoubtedly be long, know that you have friends here that will travel it with you in spirit with healing thoughts and prayers.
Hugs and Blessings,
Courtney

Hi Cathy, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog. You were asking about the Magic Bag. It a pillow type of bag filled with oats that you can heat in the microwave or put in the freezer depending if you want it hot or cold. It's a Canadian product and if you want to see one, just type Magic Bag in the search engine and you will see what it looks like They come in different style for the neck and the back etc. It's very soothing for pain. Hope the good news continues. Your faith is a blessing.
Susanne.
Love the prayer flag ~ that was a very thoughtful friend to know that now you needed it more than she. I have a friend who says "God is good ~ all the time" ~ my prayers are with you and your husband to stay strong and that healing is taking place right now! Thinking of you ~ Alice
What a great idea...a prayer flag! Thinking of you often, Cathy, and sending prayers up from here.
You are right, so often it takes an "event" to make us aware of treating loved ones specially. We should be doing that each day! Thanks for the reminder and hoping this event goes passes quickly in your life!
Cathy ~
Thinking of you and hubby and hope more good news will come your way soon.
Big hugs and prayers coming your way.
