Happy Mother's Day

This is my sadie she had a couple of days of not feeling very well. She seems to be fine now so not sure what it was. she is 17 so I worry about her. She is looking over her kingdom and watching for those damn squirrels.
We got to see Miss Baby today and she gave her gramie a few things for mothers day. I love her expression in the dress. Do you think she will prefer jeans and a t-shirt?
During prom and wedding season my husband drives limo part time. Tonight he is off to a prom so at the thrift store I got a movie to watch and some magazines to read. Who doesn't love an affair to remember?
I also got this, does any one have a clue to what it is? No one at the thrift store knew but I bet you bloggers know. This is my 200th post so if you know what it is leave it in your comment and I will draw a winner on Wed. for.....
The cat in the middle. This is my haul from the dump today on the way home from Miss Baby. Good stuff!
So tell me what the stainless steel item is and you could win this very sweet primitive kitty.
I had a busy day some planting and some cleaning so I am off to take a nice shower and get a box of tissues to watch my new movie. I hope your mother's day is a good one.

I know what it is! You rub in on your hands after you handle onions or garlic to "Rub A Way" the smell.

Happy Mother's Day to you! So glad you got to spend some time with Miss Baby.
I hope you enjoy your quiet evening with your box of tissues. Will you be pulling a few loops?
I haven't a clue what a Rub-a-Way is.
Hugs :)

Hi Cathy, Rub a way is used to rub away the odor of garlic and onion and other undesirable bad odor from your hands. I've never use one but I've seen it before. I usually use lemon juice and it does the trick. I wonder if it works for lobster odor too. Happy Mother's Day. JB

I own "An Affair to Remember" it's one of my all time favorites!

I think the "rub away" is to remove the smell of garlic from your hands.

Hope Sadie feels better soon!

Have a fantastic mom's day and a fantastic 1st grandmother's day!

Congratulations on your 200th post Cathy!
I'll have a guess as I think I may have a similar one ;o) I think you use it with soap to wash your hands to rid them of the smell of onion or garlic. (Amazingly it DOES work!)

Happy Mothers day :o)

Might the bar be used to rub away odors of ones hands, onion, garlic etc. I'm taking a guess, but I do believe I have seen one in a gardening catolog. Love the photos of Miss Baby, love the dress!! She is growing so fast. Okay, I saw your lovely photo on Courtney's blog and you are a real cutie with a sweet smile and a wonderful hooker to boot, rug hooker that is! Happy Mother's Day, blessings Julie.

Hi,
I hope Sadie is better. If she is watching squirrels maybe she is feeling sassy again! ha! I know what you mean about worrying about them. My cat is 20..soon to be 21 next month....Might
have to throw her a party....Is the container a soapdish holder? Happy Mother's Day from Prissie and myself!

I'm guessing it is a soap mold?

Happy Mother's Day!

I think it is an odor removing bar. Like when chopping onions and garlic and you can't get the smell out of your hands....rub them under running water while rubbing that bar. Is it the size of a bar of soap?

Hi Cathy, I believe it is something you use to get smells off your hands. Say you were chopping garlic or onion after you are finished you rub your hands all over it and miraculously the smell disappears. Not 100% sure though. Miss Baby is still as cute as ever. Have a wonderful Mother's Day!!

I hope your kitty gets to feeling better ...
When they get they old it is hard to know if it is serius or not.
As for your Rub- A- Way it is made by Amco and cooks use them for getting smells off of their hands ... onions, garlic, and fish ...
Have a wonderful day!

Hi...I know what it is...I saw them at Crate and Barrel. You use it after you cut up garlic. Just wash your hands and use it as soap and the odor is supposed to disappear.
Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day. That movie is one of my all time favorites...Balisha

Cathy,
The rub away thing was made to remove odor from your hands, like fish, onions, and garlic! Made by Amco! How's that for a guess!

Hope kitty feels better. Your Miss Baby is so darling. Happy Mother's Day to you!!

I love that movie as well!

Ohhh, I hate those damn squirrels too! They ripped up my patio cushions, they're so destructive!

Glad Sadie is feeling better, these pets, what would we do without them?

I'm guessing the silver rub away thing is one of those things you wash your hands with to get the smell of onions or fish out. ???

Good luck,
Susanne.

The stainless steel bar is to rub on your hands -- dry, no water -- to remove onion and garlic smell.

Happy Mother's Day! Glad to hear that Sadie is feeling better. Also am happy to know you had a chance to see that sweet grand baby too. I am guessing that that stainless steel piece is something you rub your hands on after you have been peeling garlic. Doesn't stainless have a reaction with the oils from garlic and removes the odor? Is that right or am I dreaming this up? Thought I read that somewhere. Have a wonderful day. I love An Affair to Remember too!

Your bar is for using to erase smells from your hands...like garlic. I have one very much like it. :)

The "rub-away" is interesting and I'm thinking it is for rubbing onion scent out of your hands. But not really sure.
That Miss baby is a cutie for sure! Bet you had a wonderful time with her!!

Hello there, I think it is one of those things that you rub on your hands after chopping garlic to take the smell away. I would love to know if it is.

I have only been following your blog since just before christmas and waited with baited breath, like your pets, for Miss Baby to be born. She is truly beautiful and growing so fast.

Best Wishes
