Sage

We got 5 more inches of snow overnight. And now we are in the 50s.
The first thing husband did this morning was break the toaster.
Since I had a 8 am dental cleaning. I stopped and picked up a new one on the way home.
Husband just finished another puzzle. This was a very hard one and had a couple of pieces missing.
Because we had such a nice day I opened some windows for awhile and burned sage. Out with the old energy in with the new.

I have a Mahjongg class tonight. I am enjoying it but don't feel good enough to play a game yet.

We spring a head this weekend looking forward to longer days!
Enjoy the rest of your week.

We burn sage every now and then at the store. I am one of those who wishes they would leave the time alone. Janice

LOVE your meme!
Oh how frustrating to work that amazing puzzle only to find a few pieces were missing!
I’m surprised you didn’t have a thrift store toaster in reserve 😁

Sheesh, I've never seen a puzzle shape other than square or rectangle so guess it was difficult. That last meme is no joke, I have a bunion and hammer toe on one which makes one of my toes stick out and my panties have gotten caught on it while trying to stick my foot in. Hate when that happens!

A coincidence-I just bought a new toaster too - I noticed there was a loose wire inside poking out. I would have thought it would be an easy purchase - picked up a Black and Decker that burned on the lowest setting so back it went. I ended up getting a brand I’d never heard of but it was the only one with slots long enough to fit slices of homemade bread - ugh. The patience for that puzzle is amazing-and missing pieces? Grrrrr.

Thanks for the idea. I have a sage bundle and when it gets warm enough up here, I'm going to do the same.

my husband hides puzzle pieces and then comes in with them to save the day!! he thinks that funny. i have never burned sage but have heard about the benefits of doing it!!

I can see why that puzzle was difficult!! Yes, our clocks go forward for the very last time as our Premier announced that we'll be staying on Daylight Saving Time permanently now ( Just our province but hopefully others will follow).

What a cool puzzle it definitely looks a challenge. I have white sage growing out back. Need to read up on how to prep it for burning.

I had to look up what Mahjong is... I wish you lots of success learning the game.
Happy weekend, Viola

Maybe you can share a bit about the tradition of burning sage as it seems folks are interested, including myself. kudos to your husband finishing the puzzle despite missing pieces 😕 I’m working on a puzzle which did not include a poster and finding it harder looking only at the box image. Would be nice if the fall back and spring ahead tradition was ended as we have a lot of clocks to reset manually.

We hit 70 yesterday and even though it's mud season here I'll take the warm air! Too bad about your dining experience. They won't stay in business if that continues. That's a really neat looking puzzle! Have a good weekend and, like you, I enjoy the brighter evenings! I'm looking forward to the brighter mornings too when I have to go to work at 6:30am!

Whoa, that puzzle! Your husband must have been a bit frazzled after that. I would be howling at the moon! LOL! Burning sage, that sounds interesting, but I am thinking the smell would make me want my southern dressing! (You know the kind that goes with turkey!) :-) Now, I am hungry for it!!

Nice looking toaster. I have been wanting to get a white one for the kitchen. I have never had sage in the house. I am wondering what the scent is? I like what you said...."out with the old energy, in with the new." I feel the same way about things. I like to de-clutter once in a while. Your area looks so pretty with all the snow.

We go through a lot of toasters, so I buy cheap ones. That looks like a fun puzzle, but hard with all the detail inside. I have one more I haven't done, not enough time lately.
