My step dad passed away this week. He was very lucid and made his wishes known. My dad died when I was 19, I was married by the time my mom remarried. He was Grampa to my daughter and good to my mother who died 17 years ago. May he rest in peace.
More snow coming in tomorrow. Truly I am done, winter came early and is staying late. I feel so bad for those that got 3 ft of snow recently.
Have a lovely weekend!

What a long life your step dad had. Lots of wonderful memories, I'm sure.
I am not a quilter either. My mother was and my oldest daughter is. The daughter can whip out a quilt design so fast. She usually hand quilts it but the last one she made for a silent auction she had another quilter quilt it on a large quilting machine.
Please don't use that s word. I'm done with winter!
Oh , poor lamb, you sound a little tired . Spring will come soon . May be try a little gentle crafting , painting or baking something nice , perhaps cake or biscuits would be comforting with a nice cup of tea for you . Yes Spring will come soon . Hugs Debbie 💐x
I'm sorry about the loss of your stepdad.
It was so nice here yesterday, and now it's cold again and supposed to be really crummy for the next few days. But, Spring is coming and hopefully soon.
I love quilts, but no talent either. I think we had our fake spring - winter - now almost summer. Sorry about your step dad.
Thank you for sharing-I always enjoyed going to quilt shows we are 90 f again already-ugh but better than winter haha
Quilting is definitely not one of my strong suits. Miss my step-father too, wonderful man who adored my mother and loved me and my brother as his own.
I am sorry about the loss of your step Dad. May he rest in peace. x
So sorry about your step dad. My condolences. I tried quilting once. It was not for me either. I do enjoy all of the patterns though. Janice
Sorry for your loss. Yes, the quilts are beautiful.
Wishing you comfort in dealing yet another loss of a family member. So very sorry. Really lovely quilts. I did do a bit of quilting many (many!) years back but, because of lack of space prior to remodeling, I couldn't do full-size quilting and stuck to smaller paper-pieced quilt hangings, etc. Now that I (technically...if I tried to purge, etc.) would have the room, it's not anything I want to do - for many reasons. Ugh on the snow. We've had some wonderful warming temps so our mountains (and I mean MOUNTAINS) of snow are melting quickly. Such a difference from one week ago today when the historic blizzard hit. We reached 60 today! Now, fingers crossed that the temps continue to drop below freezing at night so we don't have massive flooding. Geesh...it will be a long, long, while before I recover from the last Great Flood.
I am sorry for your loss. Sounds like he was a good man.
Those quilts.... all of them so beautiful. I love the handiwork of quilts. It is all so lovely.
So very sorry for your loss.
Prayers and sympathy for your loss

Oh, I was just thinking of my blog friends who are still having cold weather. We've had warm weather this week, but the forecast says more rain and some snow in April. So, there ya go. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your stepdad. Sending you comforting thoughts during this time of sorrow. All the pretty quilts at the quilt show. I like the pink one. My sister used to sew quilts, and I always thought it was such a talent. Hang in there.....spring will come in its time.
Sorry about your stepdad's passing. I hope you get some warm weather soon!
About the quilts? They're lovely. I never had the urge to try quilting.
