I finished my very first sweater. I messed up the collar big time. I took it out several times and finally gave up. I used very cheap yarn because I wasn't sure I would even accomplish it. But is was very hard to work with.
I braved one foot deep snow to cut a few branches of forsythia to force. We have lost so much snow this week but I will not be fooled into thinking it is spring.
Tomorrow I am meeting my sweet friend at the spa for massages. I am sure there will be lunch included after.

What an adorable bunny painting!!!!!!!! Congrats on your first sweater. Try again with better wool and maybe with a cuff and different neck. Maybe even a cable stitch. When I was a knitter I could sit up for hours working on the round needled go do more cable twists.
Awesome! Have a wonderful spa day
Crafty indeed!!! I'm not a crocheter/knitter but the sweater collar looks fine to me! Matches the sleeve ends?? And I'm glad you are keeping on painting - you certainly have a talent for it. I think I like watercolors so much because they can't but help reflect the individuality of the painter. An identical piece could be painted by a dozen people and you could probably tell who painted each just by personality. We are due for back-to-back wicked storms...the first tonight/tomorrow (and it's started already) and then the next one over the weekend...and the latter looks like it will be wicked. Up to 2 ft of snow and horrible winds.
You are so talented! Love the paintings and the sweater too.
Enjoy that massage. :)
Good evening-Love your painting! awesome sweater-and you finished it-that's the best thing. I used to always bring in a twig of forsythia too-I wonder if it would work with lilacs. Hugs from the lake
The sweater is quite a good result for a first try. Knitting is something I never learned to do. I like your bunny/mushroom painting. Have a lovely time being pamperedđź’—.
lunch after, now that's a must. i remember when i finished my first sweater i felt great pride. it was made with "good" yarn but not the "best" yarn that i have ever used. i never made another, i would like to but it wasn't fun...it was too difficult for me, especially the neck line!!
Have a wonderful massage.
Congratulations on the sweater!!! You will only get better from here... Well done!!
hugs

Nice sweater! You did good work there.

Your first sweater?! Take a bow! I think it’s fabulous, I can never quite figure out how people add sleeves and do so many intricate stitches- wear it with pride!
Your watercolors are just too sweet!
I’d say a sweater was an amazing accomplishment!
Thanks for the reminder to cut some forsythia branches.
oh enjoy that massage! and your sweater is beautiful. knitting isn't the easiest thing to learn {I should know!}
That bunny is so darn cute! Great job. You did better on your sweater than I ever could do. We had freezing rain, snow and now the wind is howling tonight. Janice
Your bunny and mushroom are just fantastic. Well done! And three cheers on finishing the sweater. the first is always the hardest!
What wonderful things your hands have created! I knit, but don't have the aptitude, so I struggle. My Jane Eyre shawl I frogged fourteen times before I got it right! Thank you for the poster at the end. It is well to remember it...
I love any hand made sweater! I like the bunny especially the quote!
