Just Wow!!!!

We have had a lot of overcast days, and snow showers off and on. Chilly winds that are telling tales of winter to come. Thursday morning my side kick Donna and I headed for Vermont. We stayed with our sweet friend Dayle and our other friend from NY Bonnie for a few days.
On the way to Vermont we hit a wonderful church thrift store and wow did I hit it!!! The cloth I stitched while I was in Vermont. (Dayle gave us each a little kit to stitch while we were there.)
The salt glaze Santa is from Eldreth 8.00!!
The painting is from a very well-known local painter who has her pieces in a few art co-ops here. It has an original 150.00 price tag but I paid 15.00!!
and a brand-new Christmas candle for 1.50.
The dishes in the top pictures I got at another thrift are English and I got 8 for 8.00.

I got these two vests and the Irish wool sweater (made in Ireland) for a total 6.00!!
And the frosting on the cake!!! is this Christmas Pyramid! I have always wanted one. New in the box 10.00!!! I was so excited by it all!!!!

Dayle also took us around to a few gift shops. This is the sparkle barn I would say it's a good name.
They had the sweetest children's section, but a sweet little girl was playing in it so no pictures. I purchased a few gifts and we headed for an afternoon tea. Really could you ask for a better day in the whole world???
I never would have guessed I would still be having sleep overs at this age but so glad I am so much fun!!!!
So, I will close with something very special. My sweet B got a clutch bag free, and she decided to make it her own. She is not done with it at this point but what a start she has made!!! My amazing talented Grand.

I am sorry I have not been around to visit I will be soon. I just got back from Vermont yesterday afternoon.

     Have a great week!!!

Pea green with envy over the pyramid!! I always wanted one. I remember my grandmother having a small metal one. What finds - good for you - there’s never any thrifting like that around here. And good for girlfriends to share the time with - a rare blessing. Enjoy it all, or better yet, enjoy the haul!

Wowza....you made out like a little bandit! I collect the saltglaze Santas.....an Eldreth like that for $8 is absolutely phenomenal. I've never ever seen one in these parts so all of mine have been purchased online and I can tell you that the shipping on them is far more than that. Love Miss B's personalization of the clutch bag...please show us her finished work when she's done with it!
