We got our first flakes of snow this morning. It did not last as the rain came behind it. But it felt good to be tucked in..
Warm and cozy with a cup of coffee watching it fall. Now on with a few more rugs. I think I need to do a landscape next.Amazing fine shading I love it but have no interest in learning it. Such a wonderful job on this piece.This is my partner in crime's rug she is working on. This is my table mate's rug. She is one of the talented Vermont ladies.I believe this is one of the fairy tale rugs. I won a couple of things from the raffle. The scissor case and the pin cushion. In our goodie bag was this amazing snip-it bowl. Made by one of our amazing rug hookers. I won a set of her mugs a couple of years ago.
I also won this stack of art books and magazines all older. I see a junk journal in my future. I have grand plans maybe if I get off my phone long enough, I might be able to accomplish some things I am itching to do. I spent the better part of the day yesterday outside raking up the driveway and walkways so they will not be slippery with wet leaves. But who should show up after I went in the house? 11 turkeys, I think I may have turned up a lot of good bugs. ************
I have more rugs to post and a busy week ahead.
Thursday I am headed to Vermont for a girls (woman's?) few day days together. We always enjoy our time together. Laughter, wine, food, and great craft inspirations.

While I certainly admire the work, there's not way I want to do narrow cut fine shading or busy fantasy rugs. Give me a wide hook, wide cut wool and I'm happy. Enjoy your getaway. Oh, and you can have that snow,, thank you, lol.
Nice to see so many turkeys. I love seeing them around here. Its been snowing all morning here. First for us as well. Glad I did not have to drive in it myself. Curled up with movies and my stitching. Great rug show and lucky you to win some prizes. Janice

Those rugs are amazing. Do people actually use them as rugs or are they hung on display? I don't think I could walk on one!
There is a class being offered by one of the guild members who just got her McGowan certification. Wide cut shading using dip dyed wool. It would be fun me thinks to learn, but it is really not something I am interested in. The class, pattern and wool would be $250. WAAAAY too much for a rug that is not me!

You are so darn lucky. It has been many, many years since I have won something at a hook in, no matter how many tickets I buy.

To be tucked in is one of the best things about snowy days. How inspiring to see the beautiful rugs in progress. It seems to have been a good year for the wild turkeys for we have been seeing several here.
Wow! The petals on the flower in the second photo seem to be dimensional - they look like they are stand up jumping off the linen. I truly do admire the fine cut hooking but I've not the artistic insight for it. So strange...I've not hooked (or stitched) for quite some time but I did dig out a pattern I've had for a long time and started hooking it...It's the same one as your table mate's! Her color choices - and hooking - look SOO much better than mine that I think it's time to go back to stitching and let this one "marinate" for a while. I've got about the same amount done as she does so there's no starting over at this point. We had flurries off and no more than a dusting on the ground. Lucky you on the wins! Love the little snippet bowl.

So lucky to have gotten snow this early! Here in NC we rarely get snow. I'm hoping for a white Christmas this year. The rugs you shared are gorgeous. I hope that you have a great week ahead.

Thanks for showing the talents of the talented rug hookers in your group. All were really beautiful. No show in Nashua (yet) but today will be the coldest day of the week just in time for the Veterans Day parade later this morning.
Those turkeys do know what month this is, right? Ha! I got caught in Chicago on Sunday with snow but thankfully was able to scoot out and got home yesterday afternoon safe and sound. Have a good week and enjoy your time with friends! Those rugs are pretty amazing BTW!
Until I started following your blog i was oblivious that so many people did rug hooking. Love the wide variety of projects. Why is it Fall is always the fastest season to slip through your fingers?

Snowed yesterday and then today we really got hit. Very pretty. I didn't have to leave so it was nice to see it from the inside out. Right now I'm in the Christmas snug, two trees up and a very cool Christmas thing on YouTube. From Calmed by Nature.
