And It Begins

Thanksgiving was delicious and lovely.
Lovely views of the lake.
Then Sat we went to a craft fair on the Same property. They just built a beautiful barn for events.
Husband and I sampled the free wine and food and picked up a few Christmas gifts.
It was very cold and windy not a bad place to hang out for a bit.
Today we are getting a little snow a preview to what is coming in on Tue.
The house is decorated.
I will be making cookies the next few days for a couple of cookie walks.
            ***********
I hope your Thanksgiving was a good one. Have a wonderful week!

Our decorating starts this week as we were away all last week visiting friends and spending Thanksgiving in PA. Congrats on being done at home.

I didn't do any of the cooking this year. Daughter, Sarah did it all at her home. It all was delicious. Got home on Saturday and have been trying to decorate for the next holiday today between coughing fits and sneezes. Yes, came home with a cold.

Will be making some cookies myself soon. A lovely venue with that barn. Seems like barns are all the rage now. They are popping up everywhere here. Cannot wait to see your Christmas decor and that wonderful feather tree again! Janice

What a beautiful place to have Thanksgiving! I've started with the decorating but do it very slowly. I haven't thought about shopping (well, I've "thought" but have come up with 0 ideas) and am trying to talk myself into not being tempted to bake this year. I'll miss it but I can only do GF with my DIL and they rarely eat much of baked goods. Since GF foods doesn't seem to stay fresh long, it's basically a waste. I know with Thanksgiving being so late and my reluctance to start anything Christmas until after Thanksgiving, I know I will be scrambling very soon.

Oh that huge fireplace - how wonderful it all looks. Done decorating? yikes I need to pick up the pace. Snowed in today, so no excuses! Any favorite cookie recipes to share? I’m always searching for tried and true ones - I need something new to add this year! Enjoy the week.

Oh my! I dearly love your tree. And that looks like a wonderful spot for a craft show, probably a very nice one. We got snow here -- it feels too early! (And too much of it!)

Very pretty, Cathy! Love the barn too. And the view outside your window is similar to here. Love this time of year. Actually, any day I can look out the window, is a good day.
