We have been so cold and soggy we had the fireplace going all night last night.
While cleaning out I found my egg coddler 30 seconds and the perfect egg. I think I will keep it!
We went out to lunch it has been so dreary we needed a break. I tried the drink nuts and berries it was good but way to strong for me. I have not enjoyed dining out much lately. There are so many crazy added expenses.
They added a convience fee and a cc fee. Over 3.00 in added fees.
Well dinner is done and the kitchen is swept, time for pjs and a bit of TV.
My friend and I went to a tasting. And these were tasty. I will drink them this summer with friends♡

Bye from soggy NH

Good evening, rain here today too off and on and now around 7 pm pretty steady rain-I try not to complain too much about rain here as some summers in the Ozarks are very hot with no rain at all.
I did get a lot done digging up weeds on the left side of the steps-almost finished with that area and then I can tackle the mint next.

We are a bit soggy as well. I am definitely in need of some sunshine! I always see all these fantastic bottles of wine but I just can't like it. I've tried and it always taste like cough syrup or Nyquil to me, no matter how expensive or cheap the wine it. I'll just stick with coffee and tea but I do envy you having a nice glass with friends.
Grace & Peace,
Pam
It was a rainy day and night here in Georgia too. Like your meme at the bottom - totally relating it to you. I can't believe the prices of going out to eat other.
EEEK...you really are getting the weather we had (for way too long). Now it's been dry the past week or so?? But the temps are all over the board. Yesterday we were in the high 70's (!!!) but tonight we will drop below freezing again. Ugh. Your coddler looks impressive. My father used to love poached egg (not the same I know but similar). I like eggs any way I can get them. Yes, prices for dining out are crazy, and I'm so tired of being asked for a tip when all that they've done is put something in a bag. Having worked many years as a waitress/bartender, I'm all for tips (and do it generously in most cases), but this is just crazy.
I've never heard of an egg coddler but I like the sound of it. My husband has celiac disease and must eat gluten free so we can only eat baked potatoes at Wendy's! When I go out to a restaurants by myself with friends, I am shocked at the prices. I feel like Rip Van Winkle. Stay warm and dry!
❤️
Geez, I haven't purchased real eggs in years because of cholesterol fears. Instead would buy eggbeaters. But I've been hankering for real eggs lately and just might have to bite the bullet.
We''ve had a lot of rain too. Today and yesterday were sunny but today is quite cool -- probably good for laying mulch! Rick left today to assess damage at the cottage from the ice storm and start clean-up. I'll go up next week. Fingers crossed.
Like Robin has said, tipping has gotten out of hand! I understand how CC fees add up for a small business. Why I always use cash! But a convenience fee? Uh, no!
Soggy here, too, and chilly. Wasn’t supposed to rain today…but it did.

Yesterday. was rain off and on. Today it's overcast so managed several hours of weeding. Need a nap now. Dan is stacking a second cord of wood that arrived at lunch time. He did the first cord this morning. More rain for us tonight and for you too I bet.
We were out and Tim (hubby), got eggs. They charged him an egg tax.
Then so many places have been charging to use debit cards at stores and that's because the credit/debit card companies told the stores they can pass the fees onto the customer (I used to work for one of those companies that told the stores that). Insane. I pay with cash and so far, haven't had a cash fee added for using cash. Yet.
Thanks for your comment about Buy dying. I'm just starting to get back to reading blogs today.
The soggy weather is headed this way. Cold too.
I have never heard of an egg coddler. I had to look it up. I suppose it's extra nice if you want to dip your toast in the runny yolk.
I am not fond of eating out. Too expensive and often disappointing.
We have the same weather pattern, Cathy, thankfully not shite flakes❄️and that fire sure looked cozy.
It has been chilly here in Montreal as well! I live in a 6th floor apartment so I don't have a fireplace. Yours looks so cozy and inviting. I don't mind these temperatures, because it can get extremely hot and humid here in Montreal with temperatures rising to well over 100, and we have the wildfires in Quebec to deal with as well which happen every summer, and seriously adds to the heat and humidity, not to mention the quality of the air here. Your photos are lovely!
I know what you mean about the extra fees when eating out. Your fire looks so cozy, and I still have the one bedroom heater on. It's still cold in the mornings, but gets warm in the afternoons. That last squirrel picture and quote is delightful.
Happy May days.
