Snow Moon

The full snow moon was Friday night we had grand plans
to snowshoe under the moon. It was so cold and husband could never put on enough clothes to keep him warm so we stayed home.

And as you have heard we had snow this weekend!
So I got out my hook. this is a rug I drew from a picture I took this past fall on Star Island. I have been a bit over whelmed thinking about this rug so I decided to take it piece by piece and not worry about the whole just yet

We didn't get the snow the southern part of the state did which is just fine with me about 9.5 inches on top of our already deep snow.
My aunt in Maine was 24 inches and counting when I called her this afternoon. I wished her well and was thankful it was not us.
Happy Valentine's Day!

I didn't realize that you are also a rug hooker. When I attended a quilt retreat six years ago I bought a very small kit and a hook so I could try it. I didn't do well so I didn't finish the project and never tried again. I don't remember exactly what the problem was but in frustration I put it down and never picked it up again. I believe I might still have the kit around here but maybe not. I may have pitched it last year when I was packing up to move here.

Bill was home on friday but I was too sore and tired to get out for the moon, was the perfect night for it and the sunset.
That is going to be a fun rug to hook, can't wait to see your progress.

We wanted to see the Snow moon but it was cloudy that night. :-( Glad you did ot get bombarded by the snow. I remember about 20 years ago being in the middle of a blizzard with thunder snow. It was crazy. Hope your aunt fairs well. Janice

Even 9.5" is a lot of snow!
Happy to see you've dusted off the hook.
How is your friend?
Happy Valentine's Day :)

Our blizzard is over for now but what a day it has been. So much snow and big snow drifts everywhere. We survived. Another storm coming Thursday.

I've been hooking on my challenge rug and it's coming along. I don't have much left to hook to finish it off. Maybe another couple of days.
Stay safe and warm.
Hugs, Julia

We are green and snowless and sort of warmish. I'm sorry. I'm feeling so guilty about not having any snow. It's just plain weird for us to have this mild winter. Global warming? Probably. Stay safe and warm out there!
