It Doesn't Suit Me

As some of you know there is a vacation to warmer weather in our future so I decided I needed a new bathing suit. What in the name of all that is holy was I thinking? First of all 125.00 really!
I want to spend that much to look so bad????
Who designs those horrid things?  Well needless to say I didn't buy anything.

On another note I won Lauren's give away at rugs and pugs.
How I love this necklace! with it bit of paisley wool tucked in it.
Another beautiful Lauren creation.

And to top it off she sent me these 2 rug hooking books so excited to put my feet up and read them. Thank you Lauren so much!

The big news this weekend is the ending of Downton Abbey.
how I will miss it!
have a great weekend.

I am way past the swimsuit stage!!!! Lauren is such a sweet and generous woman, lucky you.

Dang but wish I'd started watching Downton Abby the first year. No way will I pay the price of watching past shows now. Must say that last week's show was very informative about how the upstairs and downstairs lived together. Hopefully one day I'll be able to watch it on TV or DVR again.

OH, I hate trying to find a bathing suit. I finally found some last year with skirts and shorts and long tops, I am not a bikini girl, haha. But, they are expensive and I really don't think the tops are very comfortable, like why do I need a padded bra in my suit, makes no sense. I like a basic sports suit and those are hard to find at the discount stores and too much to justify the cost.

When my boobs started sagging and I could find no bathing suits that held them up, I elected to go with tank top and shorts for the beach. I don't swim anyway so why would I need a suit. LOL

I'm so glad you won Lauren's books and hooking magazine and I love the paisley pendant. I'm proud to have one of hers too.

I bought a bathing suit to fit a prothesis when I went to Scotland because my daughter wanted me to go swimming and we were there for 10 fun packed busy days and never found time to go swimming and I paid over a hundred dollar and wore that bathing suit once to accompany my little granddaughter to our YMCA pool. Never wore it since and since I lost about 30 pounds, it will never fit me again.

I still haven't watched that show but seen some bits and pieces on Youtube. They are all still strangers to me, lol.

Have a great weekend. Hugs

Congrats on the lovely win! I believe that blogger is near my neck of the woods. I hate bathing suit shopping. I have an above ground pool and I do humble myself and get in it but usually I try to do that with no visitors around! Enjoy that warm vacation though, swimsuit or no swimsuit!

Hi there!

I just found your blog because I was dreaming of being a rug hooker. I live in Maine and travel over to NH often to hike. Dreary day today, but life is good!
