Just Fading Away....

At the used book store I manage we get all kinds of things in.
This magazine came in with some books that were dropped off.
It is October 1990 I grabbed it to flip through after logging in all the books.

And this is what I found, it is a pretty extensive article on rug hooking
by Pat Hornafus. It has lots of  natural dying instructions among how to hook and finish this rug.

I am posting a picture of the pattern I think since it has been in a magazine it is
ok to post for someone else to use. (If I am wrong please let me know)
36X26. She talks about using burlap backing I know I was using monks cloth in the 90's.
My first rug I ever hooked was on burlap which I hated the feel of.

Well finally spring has come to New Hampshire. we still have snow cover in our yard
but with the warmer temps and the rain we have lost a lot of snow. I am not sorry
to see it go.

I have noticed that each year I post less and less so will this blog just fade away?
I still love to blog, I am just so dang boring. I can only post so many pictures of
Miss B before everyone says enough already!

Oh, please don't fade away! I love your blog and value the time I spend with you :) I will never tire of seeing pictures of Miss B!!!
I'm sure I have that magazine in a cupboard somewhere. I've subscribed off and on for many years and have kept every one of them.
Glad to see your snow is finally melting!
Hugs :)

I love finding old magazines and got a couple of years issues of rug hooking magazine. Unfortunately I didn't know they smelled musty till I got home so I keep them in the basement. They have a lot of great old patterns that I have never seen, so worth keeping for that.

That's a neat rug hooking pattern.... I enjoy reading your blog (tho can't always think of a comment)... between your rug hooking, baking, finds at da dump and now furniture re-do... there is always something of interest here... and, of course... no one will EVER get tired of Miss B pictures! :-) Happy Spring to you!

I just feel like you about blogging and I'm fading too... I remember life before Blogger....
I'm pressed for time to do what needs to be done and by the end of the day, I'm too tired to come up with a post. My last post was March 4th. I'm thinking hard at stopping now that the busy season is here. I'm not as young as I once was...

I've been hooking more since the Great Stash Deworming Marathon and I'm on my third rug and I'm almost finished.

Your post is never boring and how could anyone be bored with Miss B.?

I enjoy following your blog! Hope you will keep at it. Good to hear that your snow is melting, though it will take awhile for it to disappear completely. I would never tire of pictures of Miss B!

Well, I haven't been bored with you and your stories yet.
Our snow is gone and I don't miss it. No, really, I don't. Just blog about what you want, when you want. I know I go through dry seasons and have stopped blogging altogether at least twice. Now I'm back at it. For a while anyway, as long as I have something I feel like saying.

Oh my goodness! Slow down if you must, but please don't fade away. I enjoy your blog so very much!

My son and daughter-in-law from Rochester, NH was saying that they can now see some bare spots on the ground. She loves to garden so I can just imagine how excited she is.

Keep up the good work. We love reading about what you're up to and all.

I don't do hooked rugs but that pattern looks very interesting and so with the times now that chickens and roosters are so popular. Love that pattern. I am your newest follower.

I haven't posted anything on my blog for some time. I just haven't had anything too news worthy to report so I know how you feel, but don't fade away. Maybe we all need to take a break now and then but it's comforting knowing our blogging friends are still there even if we've been absent for awhile.
