Monday we were 7 below zero and we are suppose to at least that tonight.
Isn't this MARCH????
I have worked on my face a bit, I tweaked the nose a bit.
I can't work on it to long the little strips make me crazy after awhile.
I have been hopeful for spring so I have been buying seeds. Right now
my garden is under about 2 feet of snow.
I hit the library tonight after work and found a couple of books by
authors I like that I haven't read, and I got a couple of magazines
in the mail so I am all tucked in and waiting for the weekend 40's yahoo.
A heat wave!

I see I have missed some of your posts. I can't believe how cold the winter has been for you! Our garden isn't under any snow, but it is much too wet for any kind of work.
surely to goodness it can't last much longer can it? great looking things to keep you occupied until the grass greens!
I think your home is in my backyard! It's still stinking cold here but by Friday they're calling for temps in the 50's...so nuts! I could be happy with a new book and magazines any time! Enjoy the rest of the week!
The temps really dropped today, freezing out now but a little warmer this weekend. I am looking at places around squam and found a nice area on a smaller pond but all the places were booked. Thinking warm weather and paddling;)

I once told my daughters, "Why would you want to lower yourself and be equal with a man?"
*****amen to that! i'm usually a
winter polar bear, but even this one has me cold...first time in years that i have had to wear gloves. however...the robbins are out and about, so something will
change! stay warm...hooking looks good! tom
Love the first one, funny.....milder here but got dumped with more snow.....Blessings Francine.
Everything about your post today makes me smile! I can so relate with the cold, wishing for warm weather, magazine love, and working on projects that are challenging yet tedious.
Carry on!
I love that Marilyn Monroe quote! Stay warm my friend. If it is any consolation, it has been very cold here on the south Texas coast too. I am sooo ready to ditch the sweaters and coats.

We've had a colder and snowier winter here this year too. So looking forward to spring. A couple of weeks ago we had a weekend of temps in the 60's but it was just a tease.
Cathy, your face is looking good. I know how slow it is working with skinny worms, but you can get so much more details.
I've bought flower seeds that needs to be planted early indoors but I've yet to plant them. I need to set up my grow lights in the upstair bathroom where I don't have to heat up a whole room until the seeds sprout.
Enjoy your magazine and books. I'm so glad that the cold is leaving. I'm ready for the snow to melt.
Hugs,
JB
Your hooked face looks amazing. Great job on the eyes!
Stay warm ~ if that's possible.
Hugs :)

Cathy...don't look now but they are predicting a snow storm next week..Yikes...so tired of winter. Looking forward to seeing the Boston Flower show next week.
I love your work on the face and so proud of you working with a small cut..looking great.
Yes, it is toooooo darn cold. I'm tired of writing checks for oil deliveries!
I'm intrigued by your rug-hooking self-portrait. Will it grace a wall, or a pillow? Surely, you won't put it on the floor to be stepped on?
Enjoy today's sunshine!
