A Thrifty Weekend.

A good weekend was had by all. Miss Baby stayed over night so much fun. Purple is her new word.
I had several bags going to the thrift.( I have been cleaning out closets.) I found this sweet dress for 1.00 tags still on it. The bunny and the movie came from another thrift for .50 great finds.

I also snagged this bunny and the DVD. for .75.

Sat when we woke up David said I am going to have to plow the driveway, what! NO.
Well he was right we had about 4 inches. Today 65 now that is New England for you.

They have been cutting trees back from the power lines on our road. This poor maple the sap is just pouring out of it.

We couldn't figure out why they left this poor rotten tree. It is full of woodpecker holes.

I have been cooking a bit this weekend I made double baked, baked potatoes oh they were sooooooo good. Today I made croutons from stale home made bread. And now I am working on a recipe from my expensive cookbook. I will let you know how it goes.
I am still cleaning out closets and drawers. Some how it makes me feel so good.
Have a great week!

How fun for you and David to have Sweet Baby overnight. I would say you did well this weekend thrifting, Miss Baby will look adorable in that knit dress. The sap is flowing like crazy this season, our local farmer says it is a banner year. Sure would be nice if the price of maple syrup went down a bit, but we do support local farms. Have a good week, hugs Julie.

The dress is too cute! You find the best stuff. Then you go and get rid of other "stuff"...way to go! We had a beautiful weather weekend and I'm so happy no snow was involved. I know it's too early to really be Spring but today sure gave me the fever! Have a good week. I read the previous post and all I could think of was "Man, I'd love to work in a book store!"..

It's been a great weekend for the sap to run. I can't wait to get my first block of maple cream this season.

Can you send some cleaning mojo my way? The only thing I have is hooking mojo and that doesn't help with the dust bunnies...but then Easter is coming so maybe it's not that bad after all.

What an adorable dress! Baby Bee adored Angelina Ballerina when she was a few years younger. Angelina is always charming.

Hi Cathy,
It's been awhile since I've been able to get over here and leave a comment! See you are still finding really great stuff at the thrifts and such great prices! Miss baby is going to look so cute in that outfit!
Are you going to have warm weather this whole week in New England? I thinks it's finally getting here this week! Today was really nice!
Hugs!

Doesn't it make you feel good to clean out closets and drawers. I spend the whole weekend in my bedroom cleaning it up of clutter. Took me two days and I think all I did was just move things around. hahaha
Great finds as always. I love the purple dress.
No honey you did not miss the article about my son. He reads my blog so I did not mention that he had gone to the doctor for his stomach hurting a lot and instead they found after a lot of test that he has a kidney disease I never heard of and there is no cure. Only can slow it down. Right now we are waiting to find out how much damage has already been done. It was a long weekend waiting to hear something but have not. I guess the first of this week we should know more. As you know it is so hard waiting on news from test.
Clint is the father of my two grand babies and such a good son and father so this was a total shock to us all. I just pray it is in early stages and can be kept under control.
Thank you for your prayers. I am such a worrier when it comes to my kids. He reads my blog and his wife so I may be in trouble just the little I did talk about it but I feel such a connection with all of you I had to let you know why I wasn't blogging and mainly I believe in the power of prayers. I feel the more friends praying the better. So thank for being a friend and for the prayers.
Love
Maggie

Love the dress and other goodies. I look forward to shopping with my grandaughter and finding lots of good loot for her. Thank you for the good wishes. I'm head-over-hills in love with her. She's a very sweet baby.
Glad to hear your hubby is doing so well. God is good, all the time!
