what I Did With My Snow Day

I made buttermilk biscuits in the morning.

We had them with ham and cheese mmmmmmm
Then it was lots of house work I will not bore you.

Then I transferred a pattern I want to start. I do not love doing this, it is not hard just time consuming.

Make sure you have it on the straight of the grain and use
nice juicy markers. hmmm not juicy enough I see.

So I went over it again.

And always end up with this! besides rubber gloves does anyone
have an idea how to avoid this?

The last of the laundry is in the dryer the house is clean
and I have my feet up watching food network having a treat.
Ok northeasters what did you do with your day?

Uhm, not much, goofed off mostly, lol.
I made up some fajita bread and we had chicken fajitas. I took the dog out and I did some punching. It seems when I pick up my frame, someone wants someone or something is jumping on me;)

I used to make buttermilk biscuits and they are the BEST. I love that Maggie design and would love to hook it one day myself. I think those motifs are in the huge $80 wool applique pattern purchased a couple years ago.

And nope, the ink on my sleeves or hands and arms happen to me too. Guess you could always cut an opening in old socks and slide it on your arm and use that.

Have a great night.

UGH, still recovering from the flu and playing blog catch up. I like the new hooking pattern, I did manage to pull a few loops today. Lunch looks yummy...Miss B is looking so grown up and so very cute! Where does the time go? The wind is howling and the snow continues to fall...I fear spring is a longggggggg way off...

My hand always looks like that too. Dawn dish soap and a potato brush! Sounds like we spent our storm day in a similar fashion - cooking, eating and a little liquid treat.

Oh those buttermilk biscuits look so darn good.
I'm having some biscuits desires right now...

You deserve a rest as you got everything under control and that pattern looks very nice.

I never get the ink on my hands because I tape my pattern in the window, then tape my backing over the pattern and I start from the top going down.

That's how much I hate getting that permanent ink on my hands...

After a hard day, I'm having a nice big glass of Valpolicella wine to wind down or I should say to wine down...

Stay warm and cosy.
Hugs,
JB

I always end up with marker all over my hand, too. Whatever you used to transfer the pattern looks very thick. You should try window screen. (I buy mine at Home Depot.) It works like a charm, though I still usually trace over the design again.
I worked today...sigh...but we didn't have a winter storm. Just a couple of inches in the past few days and that's okay by me.
Hugs :)

Our morning "dusting" here in East Tennessee had disappeared by midday. I enjoyed bridge at the Senior Center and lunch with fellow retired teachers today. I'm glad you haven't lost power! xo Nellie

Those biscuits looks so yummy! Transferring patterns is not my favorite thing to do either, and I guess that's why a lot of pattern designers offer pdf and paper patterns these days... lol! We got lucky and only had to deal with 6" of snow rather than the 1-2 ft originally predicted... *yay*.... but, since my job closed the building anyways, I made cookies, took a nap and sewed on a quilt...

We had snow but no blizzard. Since I'm home until March I feel like every day is a snow day! (plus it's been snowing every day!) Today was sunny so I actually sat outside and let the sun hit my face for about 20min...then I tested my knees by going down the drive to get the mail and then walking up my street and back again...twice!

OH my gosh did your biscuits make me hungry. I have to say these are some of the best looking biscuits I have ever seen. haha
Sorry I can't help you with your ink stain because I haven't a clue on how to do your lovely pieces. Would love to live closer to you so I could learn.
I Loved seeing Miss B in the post before this. She makes me smile every time I see her pictures.
Can't believe all the snow you guys must be getting. I watch the news and think of you.
I am not going to tell you that I worked outside yesterday and today because it got to be 81 here. Strange weather for even Texas.
This weekend cold and raining again.
Stay warm and know I am thinking of you
Love
Maggie
