Change Of Plans

I made plans to get up early and get my walk in. Come home and make fresh blueberry muffins.
But I slept in made the muffins, worked in the gardens, then went for a walk. I just reversed my plans.

My gardens are flurishing.

But hand on heart "I will not buy any more plants................today."
I need to stop truly.

The best part of an early summer morning is coffee in hand and a stroll through my gardens.

What ever critter I had eating things has moved on for now.
*****
We are starting to get haze from the Canadian wildfires. But the past few days have been lovely and warm.
Have a great week.

I so agree with you. I find peace in the garden. I too stroll with a cup of coffee. The turkeys have something against my clematis and are biting the ends off. I know turkey season is over, but they are pushing their luck.

The garden calls me this time of year. Love this season!

When this house was built almost 3 decades ago and I was that much younger, I loved seeing daffodils sprawled throughout the wooded front at the base of my trees, at the driveway entrance, with various species of plants closer to the house and around the house. But now it's too much for me to care for. I do what I can which appears in need first but not everything gets done and I surely don't have a gardener's paradise, lol.

You still got it all done, just in reverse. Your garden is looking beautiful! We have iris in those same colors.

I've been enjoying my time in the garden. Still more to do but waiting for these temps to moderate before tackling a major edging task.

Going out in the garden, with my coffee and watching the sun rise is my favorite thing to do in the whole world. If I am early enough now, I can see Venus. Your gardens are putting on quite a show. Your blueberry muffins look like such a treat. My days are always jumbled around. I hope you have a beautiful day today. We are getting sand from the Sahara. I find that so weird.

The change in plans worked out well, after all, just in reverse and the blueberry muffins look good too!

In my world, I would have thought about planning what you planned, but slept in, thought about making blueberry muffins and that's about it. ;-) I think my back is saying I need to stop even pretending I can garden but I don't know how to quit. Perhaps when the weeds overtake the intentional plantings I will sigh, go indoors, dream about blueberry muffins and call it quits.

I will not buy any more plants either. At least not until I've found an empty spot to put the ones that I bought last week. Your irises are lovely.
